One big question for me: I jump too early- when i see the lip I raise the front end then my back wheel comes off the jump earlier than the lip -as u do here too, your back wheel touches the lip ( end of jump) -how do to that? how to think about that? Almost like a manual ? can u please help me with that ;D ?
@megustanlostacos73395 жыл бұрын
When you go off of the jump are you supposed to pull up on the handlebars or just let the speed and the ramp do the work?
@AirdBMX5 жыл бұрын
It's a little bit of both, to go higher you are going to pull on the bars and push with your legs

I recently moved into a town with a small dirt track with some tabletops and it doesn’t seemed like it has been properly maintained in years, the dirt is really loose and sketchy, the jumps are torn up, and I’m a beginner and I busted pretty good today of one of the jumps, sooo I decided to get on KZbin and do some research and ask questions. I wanna say this vid was pretty helpful and why do I feel super sketchy when I go to hit a jump? I feel like I’m gonna hit it wrong and land wrong. Any tips?
@vicb59624 жыл бұрын
I’m planning on fixing up the jumps and putting some elbow grease into it, I also got knobby tires for my bmx cause the dirt is so loose lol
@AirdBMX4 жыл бұрын
it's gonna feel sketchy until you get used to how the jumps feel, that's something every rider faces. Everytime you hit a new jump its gonna be different, you just have to get comfortable on them.

At my local jumps the jumps have wood in the middle does that count as a table top

@AirdBMX4 жыл бұрын
Just get comfortable with it before you push yourself too much. Learning to ride trails is like learning a new trick it wont come super fast. But be confident and commit to the jumps you go for and you'll get there in no time!

Hey i have a cassette right now, and I've been thinking about getting a coaster. But I've heard dirt is worse with a coaster because you cant hear your speed. Any advice?
@AirdBMX4 жыл бұрын
I think the only bad thing about having a coaster for dirt is the fact that you cant get a pedal in between jumps if you end up chasing a little bit or overjumping

7:32 I have this issue where I’m the best rider in the group and none of my friends want to video me when I do tricks or care if I land new stuff. Nobody in my group cares when I land a new trick because they can’t do it and it doesn’t affect them. Even when I’m at the skate park and I’ve been trying for like an hour on this certain trick none of my friends care and aren’t happy for me. Might sound somewhat narcissistic but it’s just how I see it. I’m riding and improving and none of my friends are making an effort. I met someone at the local skatepark in November last year and he’s been better to me than my friend of 4 years, friend of 2 years and friend of 1 year. I popped a rule not long ago and they all rode off to the shops. Everyone BUT my new friend who I don’t really know all that well. He walked his bmx with me like 3kms to where I was getting picked up and rode back down to the park.
@AirdBMX3 жыл бұрын
I feel that man, not everyone has the interest in progressing their riding. Sounds like your new friend is a guy to definitely keep riding with!
