The Q50 hybrid doesn't have an alternator. The 12v charges off the high voltage lithium.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2015 model, and I guess the process is the same? Also I thought as long as there is battery left in the hybrid battery, you don't have to jump start?

Should be the same. I jump a lot of hybrids and it has never helped to have juice in the hybrid battery. Thanks for watching. Hope this helps.
