I was about to have my burn out the other day but thankfully my period cramps started and I was just 'yeah, this is my sign'. I spent about 85% of my weekend and of Monday on the couch binge-watching. On Saturday I even skipped my daily yoga and watched 'My mind and Me', I just needed so much to have a nice, quite, lazy night. Usually my signs for burn out are my growing anger and frustration and the desire to just send everything to hell. 😀

I have had a brutal burn out in the last few months. My baby was born in May via C section. My pregnancy was quite hard at the end, then I had the C section, then I came home with a newborn who was crying constantly. I could only ask myself “why”. Why do women have to go through something so hard as pregnancy, then a labor, then taking care for someone new with a little bit of help…. I have had a lot of help yet it still felt like nothing. I have felt tired for almost 5 months. It ended up in a huge fight with my partner and my own sweet little baby boy both screaming at me. It was not pretty but it was exactly what I needed. I finally stopped, started crying and asked for a hug and help. Now after 2 months I am feeling free, much more in love with my son than I actually was. Much more in love with my new family. My son is already 7 months old, I am only now realizing how fast this time went. I am feeling bad for my moods, for not enjoying it fully. It took me 5 months to burn out. 2 months to get out of it. Now I am happy, loving my little man, loving my big man. Finally. 7 months after the love of my life was born. ❤

I can attest to the effects of long term burn out. I was burnt out for good 18ish years (long story). The stress, anxiety and burn out completely changed my body, mind and soul, I ripped at every being of me. Now I'm in the process of undoing all the damage and trauma it caused inside and out. I must say as a new sub, I really do enjoy your coffee chats. There's just something calming about it. Thank you for this. I hope you're recovering well and feel better soon. Much love ❤️❤️.

I’ve been going through burnout for the past few years and this year I really learned that it’s okay to say no. Things will be there after you get the important stuff done or take your rest. I’ve learned not to feel as bad for being behind on some projects or taking days off for myself. Health and mental health are so important. You truly can’t pour or create from an empty cup. ❤ so happy you posted this one.

I am definitely going through a burning out. My anxiety keeps going up while I am not in any stressful situation. My legs are very weak, my whole body is aching... And knowing that the situation that made me go in this burn out is not gonna end before April is giving me an even harder time to succeed to feel better despite my current situation. Plus there's the guilt side. In which I always feel terrible for being burned out while so many people are going through so much more than me. And it makes me feel... Even more burned out. I am currently trying my best to take care of myself as much as possible, working on making my tiny apartment as cosy as possible because it makes me feel good, I try to be more tolerant but it's very hard and just relaxing just turns into depressive days and I don't succeed to push myself to workout or anything so I feel stuck... However, to end on a positive note, I feel extremely lucky to not be alone. I have my fiancé who is the person I love the most in this entire universe, and he is extremely affectionate and helps me a lot. Quite honestly, the only moments I can feel peace is when I nap in his arms. No matter how cheesy it can sound, I wish everyone could have a partner with who they can feel peace even through the toughest storm

Ouch- this is so relevant to my current situation. My parents are on the verge of a divorce- I can already sense that that will be emotionally draining on top of all the holiday events coming up. But I need to prioritize my inner peace and mental sanity to avoid burnout/collapse during this upcoming difficult time.

I was home from a burn-out for 2 years a couple of years ago, that's when I actually discovered your channel and started listening to you almost every day. You helped me back then, since you are home alone, and people don't understand, it get very lonely, all of the sudden your don't fit into society anymore... and then I had you. A burn-out is cruel, in the beginning I couldn't read, write or walk anymore. You will have better days, but they are not real, and you have to realise that, so don't overdo it on your good days. What helped for me, go on daily long walks, and declutter your whole life, find the things that truly matter and give joy. For me, I gave up my investment banking job, and I started my real estate business. It took me almost 5 years from the beginning of my burn-out to where I'm today (including creating a brand). Focus on fulfilment and joy going forward on your journey of life. It's a new roadmap for rest of your life, so take your time for it. Good luck !

My body does the same thing! A couple of weeks ago I had flu type aches and fever, but nothing else was wrong. I just rested and let it do its thing. My problem is that we have a lot going on [building a home and two businesses], and I'm excited to accomplish everything. I forget to stay mindful of how I'm doing. One thing that does make me feel better is having an evening cup of herbal tea. There is just something about it that helps me relax mentally and physically.

My burn out was due to stress at work and I kept taking thoughts and reflections about my work back home. Mentally, I never rested. I chose to leave my job and now, at my new job I am much better at setting boundaries and remind myself to not overload myself at work. This really helps with my mental health and it gives me much more energy to spend on my hobbies and relaxation in my free time.

Thank you!! I so needed this ❤ I tend to judge myself and think that there is something wrong with me when experiencing burnout and that taking a break is me being lazy, but realizing that it is way more effective to take a break and to reprioritize instead of trying to do so much during the burnout has helped. I needed the reminder that it is okay to take a break and to take care of myself when going through this. ❤

Can't believe I literally said in yesterday's live event that I've felt my body aching and the other day told my partner that I'm out of fuel. Then THIS comes. Gonna bookmark this for everytime I need to hear these things in the future. Having been through a couple burnouts in life already as well, I can definitely say that all of these tips are extremely useful. Bonus advice/tips from me is to let others in your life know what's going on (in work, family, house, friends). Tidy your surroundings for only 5-10-15 minutes every day, and do things that makes you smile and feel more like yourself. Like diving into something you used to do, but have neglected recently. Lastly: meditate or just breathe, take a mindful break whenever it fits. Favorite takeaways is to shedding away activities and tasks that are not on the priority list and finding ways to move, even if it's not the workout you planned and maybe only going out to the mailbox or with the trash. Starting a yoga/workout video, and only doing a little, like dedicate yourself to only a few minutes, or following along with the bare minimum, even just watching and doing subtle movements is enough. Everything could be considered beneficial movement that is doable while burnt out. Thank you! And take care Sending you and everyone here in the comments that are in the same boat the very best wishes and healing energy Lots of love to you all!

I haven’t been watching you for about a year or two, it all became too much when you became pregnant. Not because I’m not interested in that kind of content (the opposite actually!) but because it reminded me of the closeness my ex has to his new girlfriend. Finally, I’m over that, and I’m so thankful I have your pretty face back on my screen 🥰 (I hesitated to say this because I don’t want to overshare, but I’ve thought about it enough now!)

Been feeling this way lately. My sons father....... just sucks. My son is 1 and his father just drinks in the garage until 4 or 5 in the morning and I'm with my son until 11 or 12 am then his father wakes up bitches and goes to work and I'm with my baby by myself all day. I get it. I work too 3 or 4 days at my job then still come home no matter how tired and I take care of my son. I know alot of people will just say we'll he's ur son. Yeah but he doesn't deserve a shitty father lol geez

I am feeling so burnt out, just when you posted this, that it inspired me to get in touch to rearrange my massage because I have to walk there and back! I would love a massage but my body just needs to rest as I have been doing so much. It's not just my body but my mind also and I have been feeling guilty about relaxing lately but really I should be savouring the time to relax and properly allow myself to rest. I have been loving just sitting down to some christmas movies on netflix with a nice cup of tea lately. There are some great ones out there and it is just so light and happy.
