To clean my clay before it's baked, I usually clean it under COLD water. It usually works to get any fibers or strings that I need out.

When I'm working with dark colors it gets on my hands, and then I can't just wash it off. Help?
@KawaiiStudioCrafts8 жыл бұрын
You should just be able to wash it off with soup and water, or even just a baby wipe?
@fairylights30648 жыл бұрын
+xoxRufus Cool! Okay, I'll try that, thanks! :))
@brrjohnson81317 жыл бұрын
Fairy Lights, I use an extra greasy lotion first, then suds it up with soap & rinse away. The lotion cuts thru the clay residue easily, I don't rub it in, I slather it on liberally just like you would with liquid soap. Then soap cuts through lotion quicker than clay. It seems to take less time than soap alone & more effective, imho.

Hi Ruth! Id recommend other few things that help with keeping everything clean. 1. I brush my hair outside the room, and tie it firmly. 2. I not only wash my hands, but also my arms, face, and sometimes i also like to exfoliate my arms. 3. Also, wearing synthetic fibers clothes help. Why all this? Everytime you run your fingers through your hair, you pass them on your clothes (cotton and fluffly shirts OMG), or even scratch an arm or your face while working, particles fly around like crazy. Dont forget to dust not only on the surface of your workspace. But also to keep all the boxes clean, and the "below" parts of anything above your workspace. I hope this wasnt confusing xDDDDDD My grammar sucks ,i know. and im sorry.

I've been using pro scrulpt clay since 2007 n the lite fairy color is a nitemare to work with, I can't wear gloves n I have wipes that I wipe my hands down every 15 mibs about. But it still leaves like dirt n fuzz, I did find Dusting it with baby powred makes it not attract Hair as much but the almost like dirt streaks has just got me stunned, I know it's oil from my fingers but as many times I wipe them clean it just seems impossible for it to be doing this.

I need help please. Whenever I try to style the clay with my fingers it always ends uo with my fingerprints on it and this is so not pleasing!! Any advice please??

The best advice for that is to start wearing gloves when you craft, or you can get finger covers so your whole hand isn't covered. I hope that helped! : )

After watching many of your tutorials for years, I've found that you (in your videos) never get clay under your nails! I know it's sorta gross but true, so my wonder is how do you keep your nails so clean?

Where can I find basic shape molds for polymer clay, something as simple as a rectangle.with rounded edges. Im also looking for a non stick mat. What are you using? Im a beginner. Thank you for this awesome video! I'm just setting up
@KawaiiStudioCrafts4 жыл бұрын
Yay welcome to the polymer clay family! ☺️ I can't remember exactly what mat I have but there's loads of the same thing online: www.craftstash.co.uk/crafter-s-companion-spectrum-noir-non-slip-craft-mat.html?___store=default&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9b_4BRCMARIsADMUIypMqYEFA5wDVmOQjfJbXlez4sb0JWcRau9_dGJ0soKscV8UOo0lxt4aAn3zEALw_wcB Mats can be a bit pricey but you're looking for these brown ones and they last for a couple of years and even longer if you treat them well (unlike me!) For cutters I'd just take a look on Amazon but Sculpey and Fimo both do simple sets of shapes that I own :) www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=fimo+shape+cutters&i=kitchen&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
