Things breaking is a natural occurrence with vehicles. Sometimes the broken things can be mended or patched, other times they must be replaced. The mend on this glove box door has gone on long enough. It's time to replace the glove box door.
Also covered is swapping the lock cylinder to the new door. Fair warning, there are micro-parts involved. Be prepared to catch.
The work is performed on a 2002 Volkswagen B5.5 Passat. This procedure should apply to all B5.5 Passats, and other similar Volkswagen setups.
