I sleep on top of the covers when its warm but I recommend just tidying your bed everyday because if you do it when you wake up it will get you ready to start a new day and when you see how clean your room looks afterwards it will make you really happy and proud. Hope this helps.Xx

howdy hey! random thing that can also help keep your bed a bit more tidy. don’t use your bed for random things. if you’re just chilling, don’t sit in your bed. if you’re watching a show, pull up a chair etc. not only will you end up with less stuff in your bed, but you’ll have an easier time going to sleep because your brain is associating you being in your bed with going to sleep, and not with playing animal crossing.

reminder: 1. have a "dump bin" about the size of a laundry basket, like a to do bin for stuff you don't want to clean in the moment. 2. sleep on top of your bed covers so that you don't have to make your bed everyday (get another blanket tho no hypothermia) 3. find a place to put papers. like a drawer or file folder, anywhere that isn't a pile on *insert location* 💀 4. keep a garbage and recycling bin in your room 5. set a time or alarm to empty bins (dump bin, recycling bin, garbage bin) 6. use under your bed for storage, WITH BINS!!! don't just throw it under 7. organize your drawers (she has a drawer for diabetes supplies, one for books, etc. and uses plastic dividers and little bins/trays) 8. use hangers similar to coat hooks for random clothes like hoodies or coats. 9. set a reminder to clean your room and empty bins and hooks.

Thank you so much for this, I’m so grateful to have found this video because I have an especially hard time cleaning my room, it’s a common problem with me and my siblings. We grew up in a mentally abusive household because of my ex-stepdad, and he never let us learn how to clean because of his weird rules. When we tried to, he would come out of his room and tell us that we were doing it out of order (I went to sweep, which we all know we should do regularly not as a deep cleaning process even if we avoid it, aand he told me that we needed to clean up all of the junk piles around the house first and take the trash. Important to know that all of it was stuff that didn’t belong to me so I didn’t know what to do with it.) For as long as I can recall, we had roach problems, laundry piles, junk piles, crowded counters, multiple trash bags in the kitchen, a full sink. I know I said a lot but overall I’m so happy to finally be able to learn how to clean after 13 years :D thanks for being a part of my journey
