Great advice Dr. A. I use all of these and increase my VIT. D for a few days. I rarely get a cold but if I get symptoms I use everything you mention and symptoms are gone within 24 hours. It usually starts with the throat so I do the salt in warm water gargling besides the things you mentioned. Thanks you are my go to Doc. Thankfully I rarely have to see my own doctor.

I can attest to the fact that this works. I was coming down with a cold last week (scratchy throat and blowing my nose so much, my nose was sore) and happened to see & watch this video. So I went to the store and bought some echinacea capsules, some garlic capsules, some black elderberry syrup and some Zicam packets. I bought them on Tuesday and by Thursday morning I felt fine, like I had never gotten sick. For the record, I also drank quite a few cups of hot green tea with honey and ate a few cans of Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup. And I didn't use the oregano oil or the apple cider vinegar. (Not too fond of either of those.)

I tried this last winter when, I thought was the start of a cold, but really the beginning of the flu. I only had 1 really bad day (fever, aches) of flu. The rest of the flu was like a bad cold. Today I'm going to try it again, hoping it's a cold this time, and hoping I really can kick in 1 or 2 days.

Jennifer Sheldon chewing on the garlic helps because the garlic juice called acillin, helps kill off bad bacteria as it’s swallowed. In China, many people chew on garlic cloves in the morning. Make sure to brush those pearly whites after 😂

It boggles my mind that 1.7 k gave this thumbs down. Do they want a cold to hang around or they believe the only way to go is drugs? I dunno. But I agree w/the doc here. Plus, we keep goldenseal on hand at all times, It's a natural antiobiotic & it's the one & only thing that made me turn the corner after I'd had severe pneumonia (in 3 of the 5 lobes for 3 weeks).

Chop the garlic up very fine. Get a glass of water ready. I mix a tad bit of honey in the water. Put the garlic in your mouth then IMMEDIATELY wash down with honey water. You won't taste it all. The only issue you might have is garlic burps, but I noticed the honey got rid of that.

Sarah Mannion thank God I went grocery shopping just a few days ago so I have fruits and vegetables. I just had enough energy to chop up 4 zucchini with chicken broth and garlic and onion and slow cooked it with a little bit of chopped up roasted chicken and that turned out yummy. I have about 2 large bowls worth left over so I will eat it later. Ate some strawberries and blueberries and cherries throughout the day as well and I know that has a lot of vitamin c.

I recommend this really effective way to sweat the germs out. Its gross but it works... Vicks vaporub on the chest, middle back , inner arms, behind the knees, and the bottom of the feet (cover with two pairs of socks). Put on sweat pants , and a long sleeve and go to sleep like that. You will sweat like no tomorrow but in the morning your cold will be 90% better or if not gone. Plus dont shower just use wipes 😅😉. This will help I swear !!
