Thank you for this video. Working with my 10-year soccer forward U18 son who is trying out for his HS kicker position. His instinct is to curl the ball on impact, which he's trying to unlearn for football. Soccer players want to put english on everything, but American football isn't one of them. Good news is he's smoking 35-yard field goals with ease. This is a great educational video.

Hey man, we LOVE the duct taped shoes!!! Not one to give up on an old friend, KOE! Some of us have things duct taped together! Still works!!!!! Also, facing 11oclock at impact for lefties is consistent with some of the best coaches teachings out there. Finish at target, not impact at target. Very sweet Vid. Rock the tape!!!!!!

@@coachjamesmartino402 So should I space out my foot when I’m running up? I have troubles with getting the ball in the air and hitting it perfectly.
@coachjamesmartino4022 жыл бұрын
No, what I meant was when you land on your plant foot you can land a little wider from the ball so that your Bigfoot can get leverage underneath the ball. You should also concentrate on hitting the panel of the football that is facing you as you approach the ball

My coach tells me to look up should i listen or keep my head down when kicking
@nofouls14212 жыл бұрын
No, you look down on the ball when you make contact so you’re aware of where you hit the ball, then you can look up like a second or 2 after you kick it.
