I have used this mix dettol water and washing powder with added rubbing alcohol when i was working in Saudi Arabia. Bed bugs are real nuisance in many camps in the middle east. This mix really works in time but not instantly get rid of all the bed bugs in one night. I sprayed it on and under the mattress before i sleep and it took a week to get rid of those damned bugs but be sure that the powder is dissolve completely so your sprayer wont get clogged.

the reason is that bed bugs have laid eggs in your bed, when you spray this solution, the babies and adult bed bugs get killed but the new ones are still to come out of eggs, that takes a few more days of spraying to kill the newborn babies

I found that using heat will kill and slow them down fast, I use an iron and a hair dryer on high heat definitely helps I don't get rid of them all but it definitely slow them down

Do you know, they ALMOST were once, but the poison that killed them so well was DDT and it was screwing up a whole lot of other stuff, like tweety-birds* would feed on poisoned bugs that hadn't died yet, or got enough poison, then the birds would be sick, their eggs would break and so no baby chicks. People were at least smart enough to figure out that if we killed all the birds, all kinds of other stuff would come up - even more bugs, no plant pollination, no bald eagles for yer flags, etc. etc. But we ALMOST got 'em. And the pro-bedbug lobby really DID push the bald-eagle-crisis thing really hard, they're just as nasty as vultures eating old roadkill and stuff, but they shore do look purdy, huh? No bedbugs = no eagles, guess who won? Nazis & Americans, we shore do luv our baldies. *(There's lots of different kinda birds, but all I know is eagles, vultures, parrots, hawks, pigeons, swans, pelicans, uhh... herons maybe, and all the rest. "All the Rest" = tweety-birds. Oh - OWLS are best anyways.)

this is my story of bed bug. 2013: 1st time infestation to our home, before i heard their devastating pain they cause. but this time i encountered it. but thanks to pest control guys. they cleared it on one single spray to entire home. problem solved. felt heavenly. until chapter 2 came out this time they were more powerful govt has banned old powerful pesticide. no one can stop them in 2021 2021: tried twice with pest control, but they started lurking on the bed just next day. we slept outside, ate outside, suffocated in one terrace room on the top, spent 2300rs for 2 sprays. thinking they were getting killed with the pesticide. but all this was vain. until god showed me this video. i was frustrated as hell, searched youtube and found the video. bought dettol. surf liquid (washing machine top load) was already in our home. but, mother never gave permission to do it. on the same night, while sleeping sound at 10:30 pm, they made me to wake up. i had enough. woke up, turned on mobile torch, captured the culprit. placed it inside a little container. made a spray without measurement( high conc because of, high frustration). i let the bed bug on the mattress to run free under the room light. it was happy and moving fast with an attitude. i loaded my weapon, gave some pumps till liquid loaded in nozzle. shot on it's body on 3rd attempt. i was already irritated by fumes of the mist and i knew it will work. bed bug walked for 4cm and limped 0.5 cm. finally dropped dead. blimey, i was in cloud nine. sprayed on the border of my mattress and slept with pungent smell of solution. but hey, no bite from that day. initially we sprayed it every day for every mattress, sofa, cots and chairs. then gradually twice a day. after 2 weeks we, shifted to weekly spray. now we spray when we have the itch or feel something is biting. thank you so much. this really works fantastic. worth all the medicine in Indian market. unlike other medicine, you won't need to leave the house for a day. just take care of while spraying, better to wear a mask.

Use rubbing alcohol in spray bottle. Mix baking soda , talcum powder & diatomaceous earth powder to sprinkle on floor etc or equal parts or some baking soda , water & cap or 2 of Dettol or another brand like Hibiclens mixed together in spray bottle & spray. Hand Steamer will kill them or floor steamer , also need vacuum w hepa bag , put a couple moth balls in bag & throw away , replace bag as they can possibly come back thru vacuum. Encase mattress & box springs w encasements after treating mattress. Then put some interceptors on feet of bed or sofa & move from wall. Sprinkle baking soda mixture around perimeters of room. Carry handheld spray alcohol too. Get rid of clutter Encase pillows too After cleaned w hot water & heat dried - steam kills as well ! Keep at it weekly ! Treat electrical outlets w powder spray & check behind pictures , headboards , box springs , all hiding places ! KZbin Videos help ! Heat treatments helps kill them but you still need to be vigilant & keep linens & everything cleaned weekly ! Another good thing is to make a bedbug trap - as they are attracted to carbon dioxide! Watch Bedbug Trap by Jason Sterling on KZbin ! There are others as well ! Need talcum or baby powder , yeast , sugar, warm water , Dbl sided tape & napkins or paper towel ! You breath out C02 while sleeping so this will help attract them ! Testing for them as well after extermination! Set the trap or traps. Traps last about 7 days then 2 weeks! Keep doing til gone. Put one in every room if needed ! It works really well & cheap to do! I like his trap because it’s easy & works well ! Heating works but not as well in many cases plus costly ! Pray Psalm 91:10. ! Anyone can get these - many different ways as they do not discriminate! GBU. Watch the KZbin videos. Very helpful !

For people suffering bed bugs right now, sellotaping is key. Initially I threw everything out as I didn’t know what else to do. Initially. Now having done some research, encasing your mattress in plastic/ polythene/ bin bag material/ slippery material is amazing. They can’t climb ‘up’ it (remember ‘up’ being the operative word) I have a metal bed frame, which is really smooth, still I taped the legs of the bed with sellotape. Also, I hear that bed bugs will climb the walls and drop from the ceiling to get to you if they fail climbing up the bed. Soooo, get to the top of the wall and start taping all the way around. There are a few videos on KZbin showing you how to do this. I also taped across ceiling by my light, in case there are any harbouring around that fitment, that might wanna just crawl across the ceiling and drop. With one line of sellotape a few inches from the bed, they’re only going to fall to the floor and not me. All you need really is tape and a large plastic or polythene dust / painters sheets which you can put in between you and the mattress or between your mattress and the box spring ti stop them biting you whilst you’re trying to eliminate them.

I tried out of desperation my own remedy consisting dish washing liquid and bleach..l made strong concoction did not even bother to measure in cup of water then poured into spray bottle. I sprayed those die hards and 24 hours later they still cold out..so hopefully something really worked this time.

What is Dettol? And what is washing powder? What kind of washing powder and who makes it, I never heard of washing powder or dettol, I do however use Suspend SC and Gentrol IGR and those 2 mixtures into a gallon of water and put it into a gallon sprayer and your bed bug problem is over.

Or baking soda ! Clorox can ruin certain items or fabrics. Etc. I prefer the bedbug Traps using sugar , yeast & warm water. The C02 is what attracts them ! Look up KZbin “Bedbug Traps” video as well. Easy to do & cheap ! Just don’t sleep in same room if you do it ! Rubbing alcohol in a mini spray bottle kills them ! Encasements for box spring after you kill them & mattress is necessary as well as interceptors placed under feet of bed pulled away from wall ! Get rid of all clutter ! You can make interceptors if you can’t buy them !

get you a steamer and declutter put your clothes in a bag after cleaning them in hot water. then steam every thing in the room. vacume everyday within a few weeks all gone. then get you some essential oil , tea tree, lavender , and mix equal with water . wipe on your legs of bed every night to keep them from getting in the bed till you got them gone. it is alot of work but , you gotta do what you gotta do. good luck.
