this is awesome, i've just started getting into 40k, but i've really gotten hooked on the black dragons. just wondering though, i heard that primaris would erase the mutations etc, but bad gene seed. would that mean black dragons would lose their spikes?

Hey, welcome to 40k! They are an awesome chapter and making an entire army like this would be great. Primaris make it harder to get mutations but they do still get them.. You can get Primaris Wulfen and Death Company for example. So the flaws are still there.

I'm a bit confused, aren't Primaris supposed to be free from Mutation and genetic defects? (One of the biggest negatives, it robs the Legions / Chapters of all character they have)

The lore has changed.. You can get Death Company Primaris and it's also said that they can become Wulfen as well. I think it's just a bit harder for them to change but it can happen.
