Tip: It's easier to dodge the tentacles if you do a 360 around it (but It only works in open areas) Also, you can try to Double back him If you hear his charge attack (but It's risky)

Some people actually pop it when someone gets hits/goes down. Some actually pop it whenever. Some disconnect. (Mechanics case) the doll keeps decoding and pops the cipher unintentionally. Etc.

Nice tips Geisha Gaming!! ♥️ But how about rescue guide next? I can barely kite against a feaster, but if it's rescuing I always get double hit 😭 it will be nice to do guide for different hunters too...

For rescue just try to dodge the tentacles by making small circle around, there is a limit hitbox of the tentacles you will get use to it. It is always better to receive normal hit from him rather than taking hit from the tentacles. It is easier to rescue as first officer because when he use the watch skill and do that circle thing, the tentacle mostly gonna miss him, if you are using coordinator, it is also easy, if you are afraid just shoot the gun and he can not activate the tentacles (make sure he didn't bring excitement), for mercenary you can do that circle around trick and because he can hold 15 seconds damage process it will be easier for him too. For perfumer you can watch on this video the way she is being patient and use the perfume for sure, for grave you can take one hit with your skill first and go rescue, for seer you can easily use the owl to protect you etc. Many ways it is not that difficult when you still have your skills.

Beware with the patroller, when it is near you, you will have this heartbeat, blocking the patroller's way to bite you is the best prevention, like dropping pallet first or vault first. However when you had bitten, you can make the biting animation disappeared by either dropping pallet or vaulting, it will make the patroller animation disappeared but you need to count the timing and beware with the hunter position and the tentacles. If you have time you can try to practice with friend on custom to make the patroller biting animation disappeared.
