Hi Scarlet,Thanks for all those useful videos.If you knitted garment to the the neck line and you want 2x1 rib, what do you do and how racking should be set, and KC and ribber on plain knit?Thanx

Hi you would set it exactly as I show in the video onc le selvedge edge is completed. Hope that helps

Tension would go higher numbers. Carriages. Set for plain.

At 4.00 why won't it work as a cast on? What problem does it create? Why is the extra needle moved? Thx.

Hi. If the needles are set up for the yarns to zig zag between them... then the cast on comb has a place to grip or hold on to. Anchor the yarn so work will take on top... the extra needle makes that possible... then after the cast on. The ranking puts the needles right to work the rib pattern in the right place.

@@scarletpeate Thx for the speedy reply Scarlet. I might be able to buy a KR850 tomorrow for my little used 1986 KH881 and as I'm returning to machine knitting after a 36 year hiatus I'm a bit rusty! I've never used a ribber so I'm expecting a LOT of frustration. Time will tell.
