I made the two of these after I watched the video! It's odd that a baby fits in a bunting that is the same size you make hats on for grown-up people! Hats made on the addy or not big enough for me, but the Sentro works great. I'm going to make some more on the Sentro and give them to the local Pregnancy Center. Many babies born to younger women are very small in this would be a real help for them. Again I thank you for your great idea! I did make the matching hats. I wish I knew how to put pictures up on my comments because I did take pictures before I gave both of them away to people at church with small babies. Keep up the good work!

What a lovely thing to do! You are an angel. I am sure the pregnancy center appreciated it. I made mine for a friends baby, I checked the measurement with her beforehand, as it just seemed super tiny for a person to fit inside but sure enough her little one looked lovely in it. I find the hats on the sentro too small as well. I can wear them for a while but then they start to ride up and pop right off my head 😂.

@@emilysmith2784 The bigger hat on the Sentro will work better better on a large head like mine if I use very SOFT yarn. Soft yarn stretches better.
@emilysmith27843 жыл бұрын
@@cookie761 good tip but I think soft yarn would still slide off my head. My hair is really fine and I think knitted fabric is just too smooth. I have a few crocheted hats which I love. I think the texture of crochet grips my hair better. I am very tempted to try a knitted bonnet with weighted Pom Poms on the front, I’ll grab some soft yarn for that. 😊

I am new to the world of circular knitting and love what I am seeing that can be made on them. In this video did you use a 46 or 48 needle machine?

My counter on my Sentro broke. I saw a video on KZbin about attaching a magnet counter on your Sentro and it works like a charm

This is so great! Did you also make the beanie on the machine? Would love to see a tutorial on that if you did!
@emilysmith27843 жыл бұрын
I wish. No I made the beanie by hand but it’s so small it worked up in a few days and I am a slow knitter. I am working on some cabled items for the sentro though.

Does the row counter on your machine work?
@emilysmith27843 жыл бұрын
No. It has been inconsistent since I bought it. I use a clicker one that I put on my finger and I added a little bit of masking tape to the first needle so I can see it more clearly.

Can you make baby mittens
@emilysmith27843 жыл бұрын
I’m sure you can but they would require shaping and seaming. If you are capable, it may be quicker and easier to knit, knook or crochet mittens by hand.
