5 years ago I used this tutorial to make a baby blanket for my boyfriends neice. Now we're married and I'm using the tutorial again for our first baby. My Mom loved the blanket and had a family friend that was going to have a baby and she made one for her. Now she's also reusing the tutorial to make a blanket for her 1st grandbaby. This blanket is beautiful! If I may offer a suggestion. For us knitting newbies, maybe you could add something about making the stitches LOOSE when casting off. I just ruined my blanket by making it too tight and didn’t know how to fix it lol so now I am knitting a brand new one lol thanks for considering

I tried and tried to follow this without any explanation of anything and I was following ok until markers went on then no explanation and I just gave up on this tutorial. But I have to say you do a great job and what you know and beautiful work. I just learn differently. Beautiful work though

I'm glad you like that. You will find this thread as velvet style, several brands have it. Regarding the pattern, you can activate the subtitles, by clicking on the small square which is in the lower right corner of the screen if you look from the computer or in the three small dots of the upper right corner of the screen on mobile phone. I hope I've helped you. I do not know why KZbin no activate subtitles automatically 🙄.

I suspect you could use an s-loom, just don't forget where your border stitches start and stop and you'll be fine. Since this pattern also includes a border with alternating knit/perl stitches it shouldn't curl too much either, in theory. Hope that helps, happy knitting.

You can but be aware it will be narrower. You might want to make two panels and join/sew them together.
