Hello! Question - maybe i'm interpreting the the pattern wrong but it instructs that the yellow cells are a purl stitch and the green cells are a knit stitch? The pattern show that the first few rows (1x1 ribbing section) all start with a yellow cell (purl stitch), but in the video you've said to start with a knit stitch (then purl, knit, purl, etc) and then the next row start with a purl stitch (4:44)? bit confused if anyone could clarify i would really appreciate it 😄

It'll significantly affect the piece! This is meant to be knit on 15mm needles so the texture will come out way way denser. However, I also have a lite version of the pattern which you could probably knit with 6mm

Hi! I have a question ab the yarn's grams/yards. 200g/80m is what the pattern calls for. Would 200g/160m work and I would just divide the number of skeins required by 2? I.e. does the yardage just refer to the quantity/length or is gram/meter an important ratio? Thanks!! (:
@karaskniteng
@karaskniteng Жыл бұрын
The meterage is probably more important! I would double check the texture with 200g/160m since it’s about half the bulk as is intended for the pattern
@gab4304
@gab4304 Жыл бұрын
@@karaskniteng The yarn is still called 'super bulky' (100% wool) and the gauge is 2-2.5 sts = 1" on US 13-17. I think I'll buy the # of skeins called for and see what happens lol (worst case I can just make an extra sweater). I'll comment back when I'm finished in case other people have this question. Hi Kara! I am loving this knit so far. Question on the pattern for the wide sleeves-for the XL size regular rows, it says to purl 12 stitches first, but on the cable row it says to purl 11 stitches first. Which kind of yarn with 2 strand held together? I’m still beginner-ish and haven’t it figured out completely with the weight and yardage to make it match the super bulky yarn. Is it just half the measurements of the super bulky?
