How to Knit a Cable

Gosh ! how easy is it ,all these years admiring these lovely knitted items and not having anyone to show me how to cable , I put it off , until now ,this stitch is going on the front sides of my chocolate ripple cardigan . THANKYOU , great video and great tutorial.

Its too bad I don't know how to knit. But I do crochet and I was wondering if I can use the cable needle to do the same crossover look as well?

Learn to knit; it's easy! :)

You can cable in crochet ... you need to do front post treble crochet to make the cable cross and split stitches just like in knitting

Yes, however it may Depend on the amount of stitches cabled. I would always use a cable needle, or a double pointed needle, even for one stitch, because I don’t want my stitches running if I pull the yarn while adjusting it.

Using an off white yarn on white knitting needles makes it difficult to see the stitches. Just saying.
