If you pull the yarn/just from the outside it won’t overtwist. Also if you had pulled from the bottom it would reduce the twist. Generally, neither is desirable.

What size needles do u use for the jute rug and is it only on purslane row that you don’t plural the first stitch.

Hey! I first made a gage swatch of 10-20 stitches and 10-20 rows, found the number of stitches in an inch and the number of rows in an inch. Then decided how big I wanted it and calculated how many of each I would need. Hope this helped!
