It looks so neat. I did 18 x 2 + 2 + 2 = 40 STS .. lovely pattern. I am also going to add a different colour to polish up in that area 🥰 and carry on doing a scarf .

Hello. I was just going to start a jumper in stocking stitch. This would Def be good as you say a central block. Would I still need to use the salvage stitches or would I just do the 18 stitches ? Or was it 20 Thankyou

Thank you! I think it would be easy. If you change the knits to purls (and viceversa) on every even row, you can use it to knit in the round 😉
