I can't see where you place the marker ,when knitting foot where do you count 7cm from?thank you

I have a pattern for newborn socks where it calls for 10 stitches.. how many stitches do you start with to increase 3 instead of 6?

In the process of getting the heel done. Thank you for the video. What could have been better was if you had used a thicker yarn and needle so that the process was more easily understandable and visible

Hi Preethi! I have used the yarn and needles that were suggested in the pattern and since the pattern is by Drops and not originally by me, I wanted to use their yarn (you can find the link to the pattern in the video description above the comments) but you are right. The lighting in the video was not ideal, I have since changed my video set up so that everything is more visible in future videos. ☺️

I am trying to learn how to knitt with the multiple double pointed needles. I am advanced at regular knitting but this is all confusing to me. Do you have a good reference to learn step by step how to knit this way?

Hi Traci! Do you have a specific problem with kntting with DPNs or are you just concerned because you have never used them before? I don't have a video about knitting with DPNs in particular, but I think that if you start out with my basic video tutorial (How to Knit Socks Playlist) you will get the concept pretty quickly! If you stumble across any specific problems, let me know and I will try to help you :)

Hi about decreasing, you mean 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 until it’s 8 stiches left? Because you stopped in 5 stiches left of decreasing and You said so on and so on. So it means still 5 or it is getting less one? I’m confusing.

The "5 stitches left" is about how many stitches are left at the end of your row (before you knit the decrease). The 8 stitches are about how many stitches you have in total (for the heel). Maybe it's a little bit clearer written out, have you seen the written pattern that I linked to in the description box?

In the written instructions it only says to knit and in the video you said knit AND purl....I started the written instructions before i watched the video and I have about 3 cm of just knit. :/ do I go back or can I continue with just knit and will it make a difference in size?

Hi Nori! So sorry to hear that! Do you mean the stitches for the heel flap? In the written pattern it says to knit in stockinette for the heel flap which means that you will knit the stitches in the front row and purl them in the back row. So it is actually the same as in the video, I am just explaining it differently. I don't think it will make a difference in size and if you like the look you can keep it that way. If you want you can always just frog the part, thankfully the rows of a baby sock are pretty short :D

Thank you for the fast response! :) I do mean the beginning of the flap. The instructions here on KZbin under the video only say knit. Do you think I could continue for the first 4 cm ? Ah yes, sorry! When I say knit back and forth I mean purl the back rows, sorry it's confusing! You can continue like that if you want to, just make sure that you make the second one like that, too :D

hi hi hi !! I have a question I know it might sound stupid but I am really confused. So what are you doing on the very beginning? Like on what needles are you putting more stitches ln? Because I dont know how you divide the stitches. I hope you know what I mean... thaaanks aloottt You really helped me with my school project !!!

Hi! I only knit the heel flap ac ross the first 18 stitches. Since I have 22 stitches on my first two needles (and I want to knit the heel across the first two needles) I slip the last four stitches of my second needle onto the third needle. That way only the 18 stitches I need for the heel flap stay on the first two needles. :)
