Perfect tutorial! Thank you .Can you tell me when you would choose this method? Is it's purpose just the decorative value of the chain it produces? Is it a stretchy cast on? The decorative chain is lovely and I would like to use this method. I just have so many questions! Happy Holidays Emma😘

Thank you so much! Yes it’s quite stretchy - it’s nice and neat and also very good for when you have to pick up stitches as they’re clear to work into. Happy holidays to you too! 🥰

I use it in place of the long tail cast-on, as you don’t have to estimate and pull out a length of yarn for the cast-on.
