Annette thank you for this tutorial. I have been interested to knit this 10 stitch blanket to use up my left overs. Became aware of it month ago & I was confused about the corners. Watched many knitters showing how to do the corners...got more confused😤Struggled and did practiced ... not easy to take on I thought🙄🤔. Now I watched your video I am going to do it💃🏻👊🏼Your tutorial was by far the easiest tutorial & most pleasant to watch& follows 😍. No music to distract me, no taking to bore me, clear viewing, good background contrast, easy direction & marking from beginning and the last stitch is so helpful to understand such a easy pattern that looked complicating to me....oh wow.. you nailed it for me 💪🏻. Thank you , thank you 🙏🏼🥰🤗

There are a lot of tutorials for the 10 stitch blanket but yours is the best! Thank you!

Your tutorial is excellent! It's been the easiest for me to understand and I'm so grateful. I really want to learn to knit this blanket as well as the circular or round twisted afghan. I'm learning to knit to make socks and beanies. I'm currently making my first basic V shawl. I've been crocheting since age 5 but now I'm fifty five and determined to learn to make knitted socks socks and more socks. Again thank you so very much. I like subscribed and saved the three parts to think instructions. I'll also be sharing with friends who are beginner's as well. Happy crafting from New Mexico.

I know this was several years ago, but I have seen recent comments from you... Are you able to show how you did the crochet cast on and placed that row of stitch markers? Mine keep getting messed up somehow, either not enough stitches for the stitch markers or too many on the needle. I'm getting lost somewhere. Other than that, very good tutorial.

Looks very neat. Finding it difficult to watch & read what your doing. Some narration might help, I find the silence hard to cope with... However, I will give it a try.... 😉

This is a great tutorial for this blanket. Easy to follow, great teaching techniques. I just have one question. How do you change colors at the beginning of a row when slipping the first stitch purlwise?
@annettemerfalen97513 жыл бұрын
You can change colors by knitting the last stitch of the previous row with the new color. When you turn your work, you will already have the new color, which you then slip purlwise.

Thank you for replying. I am having so much fun making this blanket thanks to you. Will definitely change colors your way. Thanks again.

Hi,thank you so much.how long is the finished blanket? Can I start with more than 10 stitches to make it longer?
@annettemerfalen97516 жыл бұрын
Imane Sarah The size of the finished blanket depends on how many blocks you make. I’m sure using more than 10 stitches will be fine. It’s the same knitting concept for a rectangular block as the square block.

@@annettemerfalen9751 would not the rectangular part depend upon the number of rows not stitches? I am not good at engineering but I thought the more stitches makes a bolder stripe but still you can make a square by the number of rows??? You are a wonderful instructor the instructions on paper are so daunting but you may it look possible thanx
@annettemerfalen97515 жыл бұрын
BarbaraL Lowell yes, that’s correct - more rows will make the block rectangular. I answered her question thinking she wanted to know about making a bigger (wider) block faster using more than 10 stitches, and attaching them together to make a longer blanket.
@ooohlaa135 жыл бұрын
@@annettemerfalen9751 thanx for quick reply ... so then to make the rectangle all instruct would be the same you would just start out with a much longer strip initially? I think I saw someone on Ravelry did 40rows x16 sts but they did not show the sample ! That would eliminate a lot of corners, would it not? Not crazy about the corners because my slipped sts are often wonky even after 50 years of knitting!!! I love learning to refine knitting to a fine art and you really help, thanx.
