This is so pretty. I have been LOVING your videos for several years, but still have not begun to knit anything. My experience is limited to a few, small, knit-purl-only projects, having learned to knit and purl when I was young. Having never followed a pattern before, and wanting to make a scarf, do you think this would be the best place to start? Perhaps you could suggest a better beginner stitch? As well, could I use a slightly bulkier yarn for a more cozy/warmth feel? Thank you in advance.

I like to knit scarves and rhuanas using stockinette stitch interspersed with another stitch for variety and texture. I have used Andalusian, Double Andalusian, and Hurdle so far. Would this stitch pattern work well with stockinette?
