Backsliding is not losing your salvation. Backsliding means regressing. Don't you hear the name backslide.. sliding back.

@@themessagechannel1 And what happens if/when the pastor starts to stress on subjects like tithes (which I no longer ascribe to) and I openly want to immediately raise objections? I remember when as an "elder in the RCCG, I openly objected to the idea that my wife cannot wear trousers on account of the fact that if anything at all, we should go back to wearing leaves as coverings or better still men tie wrappers or loin cloth.

If my zeal is quenched, what do I lose? If I suddenly become non fervent, what difference does it make? If I relocate from front burner to the gallery, provided I already received salvation, who cares? Once saved, forever saved. I can no longer lose my salvation? After all, even without any further decorations, just being in eternity on the side of God as a gateman may be sufficient for some. First-class, business class or economy class, same same. Or does it now make sense to consider this Bible admonition,,,, "Let he who thinks that he stands take heed, lest he falls,,
