Unfortunately mine wasn't great out of the box. Lots of trigger-arcing nearly killing the trigger switch contacts. Gun got so hot on it's first run-out that people were passing comment on the burning smell, and drained a battery in the space of a couple of mags. Turns out the motor on mine was utter rubbish (very amp hungry) and KWA has done away with their flyback SLE diode (that only costs pennies). It really needs a simple mosfet out of the box and a better motor. I've fitted both and now it's a superb CQB shooter. I'll be getting the EVE-9 at some point.

Hi Pheas, great informative video thank you. I’ve been rather stupid and wrecked the thread on the outer barrel of my Eve 4. I have a replacement 7” barrel on the way however I’m at a loss how to remove the current barrel. Is there anyway at all you’d be able to demonstrate how to disassemble the front end down to the outer barrel please? I appreciate it’s a big ask but I would be immensely grateful!

Hiya, non, just made sure the selector was lined up to "safe" with the lines on the side of the gearbox case and then put the selector in the same position and it was fine, if they de-sync, as it's a tooth based gear, it will cause issues. Pheas

I pulled those ugly flathead screws from the pretty sites and replaced with barrelhead hex screws for industrial sexiness. Because they are literally the only flathead screws and are visible among all the other hex-head-screws. So why not aesthetic? Even more interesting is that the Mag-release screw, holding the button and arm together, is a torques screw. T-2, IIRC?

Does anyone know what kind of stock tube would fit the Eve 4? I'm looking to change out the PDW style stock for a different one

Hiya. You need to find a stock tube that has a deep retaining lug (the kind that doesn't offer enough space for a lipo , or at least only for a short one. This is because the vps system comes out a decent way into the tube. You could instead get anyone, then measure up and maybe 3d print a collar to close the gap internally between the retaining washer thing and the cast lug in there. Alternatively... you could fully swap it all to a recoil, but that's hard work and probs not what you wanted (and even more expense) hope that helps. Pheas

Motor issue? Your motor in the pistol grip may need to be readjusted/replaced. I'm not tech though, just a guess.

Hiya, unfortunately it was sold off just after this... However, if you use this disassembly and the titan install for the T6 I have done (the only difference being a little bit if getting the gearbox out of the body) then you will be able to do it really easily. Pheas

Hello! Was your safety controls lever switch mushy or not tactile? I was wondering if there was a fix to mine because there were times my gun was in between semi/safety and it was annoying! Thank you!

Hello! Mine was fairly strong at clicking into place. I certainly wouldnt call it mushy ha ha. It can be easy at times to catch it and flick into another firing mode though at times, but then I have found that with just about all M4 types. Pheas

Hey guys, newish to airsoft so stick with me lol. i just fielded this AEG for 30 mins, and it refuses to fire. just stopped. no gearbox noises, isnt even trying to choke a shot out. this was on full batteries as well. any advice would be cool. thanks!

Hello! First thing to try is the fuse in the stock, to see if it has blown. If it has, then replace it BUT expect that there is an issue it has blown, which might mean the fuse blows again as something isnt working in the gun. Try the fuse first (its an auto style blade fuse) and then let me know how it has gone. Pheas

@@PheasAirsoft So i fixed the issue rather quickly! Sorry I didn't get back here sooner! One of the wires connected directly to the motor had a slipped connection! I can only assume this is due to the body of this AEG being mostly polymer. Rather...clacky(?)... when firing. This disassembly guide saved me a major headache. Good looking out for the new guys! Hiya. Im guessing you meant the ejection port? Likely reason is the plate itself is damaged/ bent out of shape to stop it catching and locking open. Pheas

Hiya, it's not that complicated for an aeg. Not quite as simple as standard Airsoft M4, but not difficult either, and they build quality is very very strong. Defo avoid M14 as a platform as they are awful to disassemble. Pheas
