Until someone copies the effort of your hardwork and the playing field resets lol.... Yes hardwork is good, but unfortunately knowledge can be copied. The best hardwork is fundamental skills, training for execution, timings and reaction. Those cannot be copied. Its like working hard to grow muscle and stamina, people can only copy your training knowledge not your results. They have to put in the work to get results.

Super interesting, but it made me realise I will never have the time to get on such a deep level. Fighting games are something really great.
@Stinkyremy Жыл бұрын
This is dedicated issue stuff, all you need to do is play against people and when you find an issue that comes up and it is a problem, go in to training and check your options on how to deal with it. If you do this every time you get an issue that is how you overcome it. Its really not that hard and if you are at a average level of able to play fighting games well, I mean you can anti air, punish and footsies, it will be infrequent that you will come up with these situations where you "need" to practice something. Of course if you wanted to be in the top levels, well they do this but they dont wait for the issues to arise before labbing, they search every issue that could arise and lab it. Hence why things are called knowledge checks.

This is like an A+ video to showcase why asking for patches early is bad. Everyone is bitching how you can't stop drive rush and that it needs a nerf, but you need to let a game develope to find answers to good shit. Defensive tech will always lag behind offensive tech in FGs, let the game breathe. Great fuckin video! Can't wait to see more Chris T Ken in tournament.

I'm surprised you didn't know about freeze frame Chris. Drive rush "freezes time" and this time is a time that doesn't exist in game. So if you press a button during that void, it eats your input. The game doesn't see that you pressed a button because the game hasn't unpaused yet. That's why holding the button makes it so the game will always see your input on the first unpaused frame. Lol I don't even know if I'm explaining it clearly. 😅
@dommafia Жыл бұрын
I do love freeze frames during my opponent doing a wake up super, if it's a super that I can beat with my super, i can enter my super command during THEIR supper freeze and hold my attack button and my super will come out at the first frame possible. Same for ex dp and such. So not all freeze frames eat input :)

I’m loving that people are finding defense tech. Maybe it will promote the developers to not nerf our characters offense. Instead add these character specific nuances into the tutorial section as advance defense to be made common knowledge. Videos like these prove that things that tend to seem busted or insanely good really isn’t as at it seems. These are the type of things that should separate the skill gap in SF the most.

HOLY SHIT!!! I remember that tech in MVCI!! You just hold any normal right after you hit the tag button and the characters will use that normal the very first frame possible when they come out. I learned this from Yipes when he mentioned it too during a tournament in the mvci early days... I'm guessing it's the same during drive rush (since both games are made by the same company lol) once they drive rush, you can just react by pressing crouching medium, even if they aren't right in front of you, and right after that freeze frame if you're holding down that button it'll come out the first frame possible and it'll beat anything they do out of raw drive rush. I know he just said that but idk I'm just tripping out how it's the exact same tech as mvci and no one would of guessed it LMAO Fchamp is a genius... he said he holds grab (which I feel is the safest option) but I feel like with practice and reaction you can get an optimal as hell counter combo.
