Labor to Rest - “held captive in Jesus”. You were, Pastor!!! Labor for Jesus, All Day Everyday! Christ Labored for Crucifixion. I’ll always remember this Preaching and Teaching Rabbi Cahn. I labor, the Rest is SWEET Love in Jesus always, all my life. Applied to life, as I grew up - taught, not easy but worth every minute of labor. Never a day, Jesus name not called, at home, family homes. Jesus help me, whispered quietly. He did, He never stopped loving me, He is with me every step guided, guided by Jesus. ♥️✝️♥️

The message here is to desperately seek God's rest instead of doing everything in your own strength. Jesus's sacrifice kinda smooths over some of that rigid traditionalism. Not that you were implying that. Us learning from a messianic jew makes that a potential obstacle, so I'm just clarifying.

Romans 10:12-15 There is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news! Ephesians 2:17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. Isaiah 57:16 I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for the spirit would grow faint before me, and the breath of life that I made. Because of the iniquity of his unjust gain I was angry, I struck him; I hid my face and was angry, but he went on backsliding in the way of his own heart. I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners, creating the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to the far and to the near, says the Lord, and I will heal him. But the wicked are like the tossing sea; for it cannot be quiet, and its waters toss up mire and dirt. There is no peace, says my God, for the wicked. Micah 7:18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you. Isaiah 43:25 I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins. Isaiah 1:18 Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. Isaiah 12:1 You will say in that day: I will give thanks to you, O Lord, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me. Hebrews 13:15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. Psalm 66:5 Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 6:40 This is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

This is a great and very timely instruction. A topic so misunderstood. Moses warned before entering the Land that "many standing here today will fail to enter God's rest." A great orthodox Rabbi named David Fohrman once taught about a Jewish wedding he experienced second hand while staying at a hotel on Shabbat. These four young, strong Jewish men were carrying an elderly Jewish man in a wheelchair down three flights of stairs to avoid "using" the elevator. They were all sweaty and stopped for a quick breather near the bottom when a hotel employee going up the stairs stopped and asked, "Why didn't you guys just use the elevator." They quipped, "Because it's our day of rest." Is it sinful to move a couple wooden chairs to make room for a guest at our Shabbat table? Is the physical act of "work" a violation of "ceasing from OUR labor?" The service of the sanctuary, God's work is not laborious or wrong on Shabbat.

Amen we can only recieve the gift of rest when we allow God the Father to fill us with His Spirit. Yeshua his only begotten Son is our example in not only Shabbat but in all things. Thank you brother for this comment. Blessings from Medford Oregon 8:37

All the Glory belongs to God! Praise the Lord! Amen! Hello with Love! Peace! Justice! Joy in Christ Jesus! Jonathan. I see it has a 6,000 year management plan of the Human Experience entering Shabbat, that is Eternal Rest in God! Alleluiah! St. John 7:15-17 The Jews were astonished and said, ‘How did he learn to read? He has not been taught.’ Jesus answered them: ‘My teaching is not from myself: it comes from the one who sent me; and if anyone is prepared to do his will, he will know whether my teaching is from God or whether my doctrine is my own. All the Glory belongs to God! Thank you, Jesus! Praise the Lord! Amen!

Our main task is to enter into His rest (Hebrews 4:4) by keeping awake so that no worries, fears, guilt or judgement will prevent Christ from living in us. (Galatians 2:19-21) Noah (this name means rest) found grace in the eyes of the Lord. When we are in His rest, (seated in Christ on the throne) God works in and through us by grace, but when we worry about trying to please Him by law, He rests. In other words, when we rest in His finished work, He works unhindered.(Rom 5:17) The more we enter into His rest by Faith (in all aspects of our lives) the more the grace of Christ works in us.

There is only One and Only God and Father and he is the "I will I am to be" who came full of grace and truth and made himself known. It is not a mystery how Satan attempts to mimic his name. But Jesus when he came Son of Man destroyed the devil's work saying, "Not my will be done but your will be done." Who was and Who is and Who is to come. God's name is the fullness of time and existence. "I will I am to be" In the beginning and the end God was all and is in all. He is the first and the last. The Amen.

Johnathan Hebrews is written to the Hebrews, Matt, Mrk Lk John to the Jews, witnessing to the Jews. Paul, Apostle to the Gentiles. Chosen by Christ to receive His Grace thru Faith, to believe in Christ Jesus as Son of GOD, Redeemer, by Grace thru Faith in Him alone. All scripture is to teach learn of God & for edification & His plan, but not all scripture is written to us but for us. Our Apostle is Paul our direct scriptures are Romans thru Philemon (to the Gentiles)🙏🏻

This message was good, until you brought Friday for Messiahs death. He died on the 14th of Nisan, just as did the sacrificial lambs for the beginning of pesach, passover. He was in the tomb 3 days and three nights. There was a Shabbat for Passover, 15th of Nisan, then preparation day for weekly Shabbat on 16th of Nisan, 17th was the Shabbat . Count 3 days and 3 nights. Blessings and Shalom to you all in the mighty name of Yeshua Hah Mashiach our Lord and Savior.
