I’m glad to see that I launch and land the proper way. I used to make the mistake of launching bow in first and landing bow first. Those concrete ramps are like cheese graters on a keel. Fortunately I learned after my first time. I learned a lot from KZbin. Great video, thanks for the demo. Have fun out there and be safe.

This is definitely where I see most people fall in. It’s the launching and exiting of the boat literally sometimes. It’s so funny to watch people try to do it from the dock as well I always tell them that’s not how you want to get in your kayak. Do you want to do this at the boat ramp or the shoreline

I am extremely lucky to live in a place where the state installs actual kayak launches and docks so the only time I have to mess around with launching is when I pull up on remote beaches and such. So glad I found this video for those few times though!

Great tip on entering and exiting the kayak Chad! Fortunately I was taught that quite a few years ago by someone I still fish with on a regular basis. It works and works well and saves wear and tear or at least some wear and tear on keel of my kayak!

Good info, Chad! This is pretty much akin to the proper canoe enter/exit methods except you have funnels you can brace the paddle across too. Broadside is definitely best!

Love the videos. Can you do a video on how to get in the kayak when launching in deeper water? Like from a boat dock or from a steep bank where the water is high.
