I have 150,000 miles and do this atleast 2-3 times a day at stop lights and nothing has ever broke. The car needs ran hard, it likes it.

Press the brake peddle really hard and push your foot down fast and hard on the throttle, my mate sometimes struggles to activate launch too on his but every time I go to to it, it works every time

Smash your brake pedal really hard, then floor the gas pedal at the same time, 3-4 second hold and release the brake pedal, you should be flying. If it doesn’t work, that means your haldex pump is out or not working. Remember that our haldex systems need maintenance every 20,000-30,000 miles

Get some R888R’s for a summer tire

I guarantee you will not spin with R888R’s unless you’re really trying. The max size you can run on a Mk7 is a 265. If you’re running 265 squared on your mk7 R, you’re not spinning. Make sure to invest in some good all seasons or winter tires for the colder months depending on where you live though. R888R’s are great summer tires but not great any other season

@@jtmedia560 Even though the R is AWD, it's still a kinda FWD at some point. When the front spins, the rear adjust the power or something like that, I don't wanna be specific but I hope you get it

I don't think so, if they don't specifically call it launch control then that's likely not the case

no launch control on manuals (gti or R) however there is a soft limiter at 4k

Launch control let’s your car make peak power before you launch, just holding it at an rpm won’t since you aren’t at full throttle, + if you’re turbod you won’t let the turbos spool as much before you launch h like launch control.

This is a feature legit shown in the owners manual. This will not wreck your transmission.

@@HRDesigns You will need significantly more frequent DSG service if you do this regularly. It should be an occasional thing on stock components. If you're launching these all day every day, except premature transmission failure.
