Hey Adam, you are one of the best still under the randar Amazon FBA youtubers! Thanks for this first class content. For this timeslot: 14:28 Can you tell what you mean with "not confuse Amazon"? Is this an assumption or is it based on data?
@AdamHeist3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The data shows that when you run auto (especially) and to a certain degree broad/phrase at launch, because your ASIN isn't indexed or known yet - you get served up for lots of irrelevant terms. Not only is this bad for budget, you create negative conversion history which can impact your overall performance. In short, exact works really well the first 2-3 weeks of launch in my experience, partially support by negative data and directional info when you compare that to including less targeted campaigns.

Great work Adam. I really like that you're providing a step by step insight of what people need to expect (and think of) when doing their launch. I'm about to get some samples soon and once that's done I'm sure I will be looking into that again to get the most out of it. Just one thing. I guess you will do those kind of stuff in the future but showing some of the tools you're using (like Helium 10 bits and pieces) would help some things becoming more clear in terms of what you're referring to at that point. Also it would help you to get some affiliate clicks out of it since you're aiming for online marketing also :) Keep up the good work! P. S. Someone mentioned it before but the missing right channel is a bit of a bummer. Make sure to keep an eye on these small things also even though it's obviously about the massive benefit of knowledge you're providing. Adam, came to your channel through Myles' channel. Thank you very much for producing these videos. All are excellent. A few questions for you if you don't mind that others may find useful as well… 1) As the goal during launch is to get 30 reviews, what are your thoughts on obtaining brand registry for the Amazon Vine program? Would you consider waiting till you have a certain number of reviews (say 5-10) through the Vine or Early Reviewer Program for social proof prior to launching PPC? 2) Do all of your products prior to launch have "enhanced brand content" though brand registry? Thank you!
@AdamHeist4 жыл бұрын
1) 100%. Didn't get into this strategy but would definitely recommend it. *Note: They are pro reviewers and will not be nice if your product sucks:) 2) Depends on the brand (I still have some without brand registry....TMs filed pre-IP accelerator. Where I have brand registry I definitely launch with A+ content though.

Great video Adam, and thank you so much for sharing. I was wondering, with the adjacent PPC launch strategy you carry out, you mention that you perform your keyword research to find ~10 hyper-relevant keywords to rank for and then plop them straightaway into a manual exact campaign and bid aggressively. At what stage do you start to run automatic campaigns to discover additional keywords (if you run them at all)? Do you bother with manual broad + phrase campaigns at some point or just sticking to manual exact campaigns throughout? Thanks again, and wishing you all the success in the world. Take care!

Thanks, Adam! You have a gift for breaking down complex processes so they are easy to understand. 517% ROI is off the charts!!

Hi Adam, I just watched you on Myles’ video. I really really liked the way you think and how you communicate your thoughts. Also the down to earth nature of you. Will subscribe and look forward to more videos!!!

Adam Heist I’m also in Finance so I always compare to ROI vs the riskiest of all financial products and you cannot beat Amazon!

@@kochan81 100% agree! In about 18 months I'm going to likely get a fund together to start buying a portfolio of brands. It's an awesome investment vehicle!
@kochan814 жыл бұрын
Adam Heist Yea I thought of that idea too. There are vehicles to invest in portfolio of real estate because people view it as stable investment but I agree Amazon brands could also be as stable (perhaps with shorter duration) with much much higher return! I’ll be sure to be on a look out for your fund!

Adam, rewatching this video and I have a question for you (sorry if it's been asked in the 100+ comments below). Around minute 34 you show the graph of how your rank has been sticking in the top 5 for your Target Keyword. In the beginning, you said you target 10-20 hyper-relevant search terms in PPC at launch. So how did you qualify this specific Keyword as your target? Simply by relevancy + search volume? Furthermore, did you approach the process of ranking for that Keyword any differently than you did the other 10-20 that you targeted? Thanks a bunch for the channel man
@AdamHeist4 жыл бұрын
Based on relevance and volume (don't want too big a word, but not too little either...2-5k is generally good). I also like words with a good "root" that is shared across many other KWs that I want to rank for.

Thanks for the awesome videos Adam! Looking over the numbers at 24:32 you have a landed cost of $14. If we then factor in a TACOS of 10% so $4.2 and a little bit for inspection ($18.59 -4.2-0.3) we get a gross profit of around $14. This means the product has an ROI of around 100%. Do you usually go with products with a return like this? I would have thought it is on the lower end to be able to really scale your business. Or is there something I am missing? Could you also please go into a bit more detail on how you structure your FB ads?

100% would be a worse case/minimum sustainable threshold for me. Most products would need to be at least 115% to pull the trigger on - however this one is a critical "gateway drug" type product for the customer journey that I wanted us to capture customers on. *Note: For any products riding the ROI line, I also want to be confident I can generate savings down the line to improve the outlook. In this case we are $5 above the pricing shown here, 5% tacos, and have negotiated cogs down to $12 (with net-60 payment terms). So it's a cash cow now. But you need to be prepared to sharpen the pencil and work towards this in the months preceeding the first order. Great thinking though. This exactly how you need to think for scaling an amazon business. Well done.

@@AdamHeist Wow thats awesome! How were you able to bring the pricing down so much?

I know this is one of your first videos and not even a year old, but are rebates still viable? I'm still learning as i approach my launch and everything I've read or heard is that they're a no-no. If they are "good to go", how do you go about doing rebates? (might end up asking my questions on one of your more recent videos). PS, glad i found your channel!
@AdamHeist3 жыл бұрын
Not using FB ads (IMO). They must be used in a very targeted way to ensure buyer quality is high and risk is low.

Do you use Virtual Assistant to help with the rebate process? How do you find them?
@AdamHeist4 жыл бұрын
I've managed them and had people on my team run them. Onlinejobs.ph is a good site (but I get most via referral now).
