He already compacted the base the sand should be a bit fluffy so it cradles holds the paver a bit it sets in

Compacting sand doesn't work very well. It will never set up solid the way road base and crusher chips do. Like you will always leave a bootprint on sand, even after you've packed and watered it 20 times. You should try to achieve 95%MPD on the road base underneath.

Just above the concrete is perfect. After compacting the pavers they will drop to level…well done. Up here🇨🇦I set it a little higher to give allowance for 5 years by that time the pavers sit nice and flush good for another 10 yrs

What if you lay 900x900 pavers on semi dry screed do you add compaction drop or not

@@evzevz06 you never want to set the grade level to 0 unless you’re working in a climate with no ground movement caused by changing seasons. Setting it a few millimeters above 0 is ideal as in time through ground heave the level will drop to 0 no matter what dimensions. This gives an extended life to the project.

You can walk on it, just make sure to tidy up as you’re laying. You can also use some pads or plywood to minimize disturbance

Walk along the laid pavers and not on the sand. Lay a section and then work up and down. I would also recommend NOT to use wood as a pull bar. Aluminium would be better as wood warps.

Wrong. No one uses sand or stonedust anymore. Make everything permiable. 3/4 stone base. Spread liner. Chip stone in stead of sand. Scread. Set

I’ve always worked with the imperial measuring system. Most measuring tapes don’t have the metric system in the US. I know a bunch of people that get confused with fractions but that’s because they never payed attention in school which is where you learn all of that 😂😂😂
