At 4:46 what does it mean that "notes are to close to each other" and also which notes are too close to each other

I mean the vertical positions of midi notes in chords. If they don't have gap enough especially in low notes, it will cause problems. That's why you can "invert" the chord notes and test variations.

Count till 7th usable key in the scale. You'll find 7th degree. Then build a chord that contains 1 - 3 - 5 - 7 degrees. You'll get a 7th chord.
