How to Layer Garments in CLO3D

In this CLO3D video tutorial you will learn how to layer garments, and will see use of arrangement points and mesh tool box during the workflow. In this project you will see how to layer short shorts under a dress, but the technique is the same for layering any garments.

This video is so helpful! Thanks. Do you have any tips for keeping your symmetrical pieces organized from the original pieces? I’m having a problem where my stitching lines are getting twisted and I think it’s because I’m confusing which pieces are the originals and which ones are new. It doesn’t make any sense to my brain. That’s the only thing I can figure is the problem because they look right in the 2d window.🤷‍♀️

Hi Jessica, thank you for your comment. What I do is look at the 3D window and the 2D window back and forth to make sure I’m stitching the right pieces together. If you click anywhere on fabric in the 3D window you’ll see a blue dot on the corresponding pattern piece in the 2D window and that’s how you can make sure that your patterns are arranged correctly in the 2D window too.

can you please tell how did you arranged the two garments (transparent and non transparent fabric together) when I'm applying the translucent effect it is being applied on all , please let me it will be very helpful

Make sure you select only the patterns you want to be transparent and apply the desired transparency value only to those.

@@DharmaVati-h2n Then copy the fabric and assign the new one only for the ones you want to be transparent. That way CLO will perceive these patterns as a different fabric and will only change the transparency for those.
