I was searching for something to get me through the technological "mumbo/jumbo" that gets in the way of getting a simple understanding of duties and skills necessary to develop apps for my clients. I scrolled through dozens of videos and I found your channel to be the most comprehensive. The light came on and 10 minute tech is the channel I'll be using as my personal reference cache.

Great Video!. I have 1 years experience as a self taught developer learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I decided this year to switch because I love JavaScript but I feel overwhelmed with all the things you need to learn for web development. I tried out Swift and UIKIT but I found I hated X-CODE the worse IDE ever. But Lately I had been reading what is made with Android and I was amazed by how many technologies use Android and afterwards I decided to change. Android has a huge market which I had no idea existed. Plus deep down I always loved mobile. I even tried using React Native to create a dummy mobile app and had lots of fun doing so. The only downside is after I downloaded Android Studio and tried to make something my simple Kotlin hello code wouldn't run. I got a HUGE error stating gradle was missing ??? I find this very confusing? What in the world is Gradle??? I see I have lots and lots to learn about Android Development. Thank you for the video.

gradle is an android build system and it is required both in intellij and android studio. although not fully an app developer, but i am sure that i can answer a good list of questions correctly
