over time i came to the conclusion that commenting things can be rendered redundant in the majority of cases when you simply structure and create your code in a way its explaining itself clearly already and keep it as modular as possible that when you would change/update/adjust anything its by structure always containing its own integrity/dependency.. since you mentioned the wisdom: all you need is a texteditor and a browser(console/devtools) => deeper understanding of javascript may seem hard but when you simply go for it and start messing around in your browser while doin casual things you do anyways and go exploring by classic trial and error in the beginning you will get ahold of alot knowledge-fragments way faster then you may think ;) cheers and thank you kyle for bringing knowledge to the people the way you do!

I don't really have super detailed descriptions on them as the projects are not the main focus. The e-commerce project is a basic site for selling digital goods with full Stripe support and email integration for sending links for the downloads.

When someone tries to learn coding for the first time there are so many sources of information it's difficult to pick something because we worry that it might be the wrong decision. I think the most important to thing to realize that as a beginner you don't really know much and following a guide will increase your learning speed tenfold. Stop endlessly figuring out if this is the "right" course for you. Just pick something and stick with it for a while and see if how it turns out. That's why I think this course is valuable. I'm hoping I will have something like this to offer in the future as well.

I plan on continuing to learn more sql and both python and R as I want to become a data anlayst/scientist. Is knowing sql in depth enough to land me an entry level job as an analyst? Im learning for almost 2 years front-end. Self-taught. Im at the stage that I could try to send my CV for entry lvl. But i want to learn a bit more and create better projects to show before i do that. When I started it looked pretty easy, but when you realise that coding is not just to remember syntax. You solve problems. You need to solve couple hundred logic problems to know what coding actually is. And many say math is not important. It is very important in coding. I would change my coding knowledge to math knowledge. And also to bring it all together. HTML, CSS, JS and creating your own design is one of the hardest parts. Then you need to learn something like React etc.

you're overcomplicating things way too much. Learning for 2 years is very long and you should already 10000% be entry level ready. Math is really not as important as you make it seem to be as I haven't had the opportunity to apply any of the math at all whatsoever. Just keep applying to jobs and you're gonna be learning 324823462% much faster.

Math is only important in programming if your project's subject domain is one that requires it AND you work without someone better qualified in the subject domain. In most typical applications, 5th grade math is enough. You do not need any more advanced math if you're building an ad free facebook clone, or a primitive youtube clone, or what have you. You do need advanced math if you want to do any type of "machine learning"/"artificial intelligence" though... which is what powers the ads and recommendations on big platforms. But to just start out in programming? To just get a junior developer job? To make a list of "popular" things where "popular" is literally "the top 10 most viewed in the last 24 hours"... you don't need any advanced math.

WTF if 2 years don't make you feel ready to apply for an ENTRY LEVEL job, nothing ever will. You need to overcome Impostor Syndrome or it will forever haunt you.

You absolutely need to be building some sort of full stack social media like Facebook though if you want to find a job in the state of the market. You maybe don't realize it since you are senior but the junior market is absolutely saturated by third world devs which are sort of competent and do the work of western devs for 1/10th of the salary , which is an immense problem for all companies that can accept full remote. The only way for real junior devs to find work is to accept working on trash tech stacks in their local market or become REALLY skilled aka building an impressive portfolio , good guide though.

Just shows how it's way too hard to keep things updated-especially tech roadmaps and course content. I think you're great but your pricing seems really high given your KZbin demographic.

The reason I recommend Vite is that it has really taken over as the best bundler. The reason the roadmap still has Parcel is because that is what I used in that video of the course, but it can be replaced with whatever the most popular bundler of the time is. I also wouldn't say this is just a straight up ad. I am giving you value by providing a completely free roadmap for how to learn JS. I also have free videos on most of the topics in this roadmap on my KZbin channel so you can use this roadmap to learn the concepts from my course without taking my course if it is out of your budget or just something you don't feel is worth the cost. My wording was a bit wrong. What I really meant was that object oriented programming as we know it today was incredibly popular for a long period of time.
