I did this in an even simpler and quicker way. Learnt all 12 major/minors in a week like so First write the majors down in this progression C F G, D E A Db Eb Ab, F# , B Bb Play this chord progression back and forth (always sing the chords as best you can whilst doing this). But quickly (and this is the magic bit) get yourself looking away from the keyboard. Within a few hours you will not ever need to look. This will allow you to audiate the sounds and very soon "magically" your hands will use muscle memory to locate the chords, which will result in much faster progress. I am talking approx a dozen or so days (half hour per day), not months, before you have all 12 majors. Then just introduce minors after you have the majors mastered. You'll soon be playing this back and forth super fast "without looking" and without using any analytical thought. Your hands will just (via sub conscience) know where to position themselves. Use your fingers only to locate where you are on the keyboard, soon you'll never need your eyes for this. Write progression down on piece of paper and only look at that. It gets easy to do very quickly as the blacks keys are obvious with touch alone. Your confidence at that point will be so strong, the minors will then be mastered in a fraction of the time it took for the majors. The issue with using your eyes is it takes away from the audiation. Touch through audiation promotes and allows much faster muscle memory to become fully engaged. Plus the confidence such fast progress gives, will have you enjoying the practice. So you end up doing more of it. Try it for a few days. Trust me it works. Learning as fast as you can to not to look at the keys, makes this all much easier than you might think. Any instrument can be quickly mastered this way.
