Andrew Huberman shares the scientific way of how we learn new skills when we fail and is a way to change old habits. The mort important question is: How much failure can we tolerate on the path of learning?
The more the tolerance the more the success.

I always thought failing is just irritating and I never looked at the possibilities when I fail 🤩

... as a German Biologist - from my own experience - it is NOT about “Failure” “Success” it is about the clarity of Mind to see Reality as it is not as my delusions hypnotize me Training a sort of mental RADAR then we are able to react the most appropriate way as any wild creature does

Was hoping this might help me in my attempts to become better at using a computer. It does not. Very little motor movement involved. For safety reasons, the only option when frustration hits, IS TO WALK AWAY. My brain doesn't have any other known options to self correct errors.

The difference between man's and woman's brain is that women talk about the problem to get better and men think about finding solution to the problem. That can be a misunderstanding in conversation when the woman wants the man to listen to her problem but not fixing it for her. For your problem there is no need for motor movements but there is need for wanting the problem to be fixed. You cant fix a problem without making a move for it even if it is in the wrong direction. I know its stressful but your will must be higher than the pain.

I know hunting for an object causes neuroplasticity so if you were to pair the task you want to learn with getting fed, would that get you to learn faster? Eg. No dinner unless you shoot a certain amount of free throws.

The last bit doesn't explain how somedays when I was shooting hoops as a kid, I could wake up and shoot like Steph Curry, nothing but buckets. Every muscle would align automatically and every shot would feel perfect. I would just shoot for hours to make sure I engrained this "muscle memory" in my mind. Then I go back to the court the next day, excited to continue practicing my perfect form. Bricks, nothing but bricks. Everything feels wrong, it's almost as if something had been switched off. And it's like this on-off switch for years of playing. With guitar, it's even worse. I'd play for hours everyday for years because I loved to play. Eventually, I start trying to record my covers but it always takes over a few hundred takes for me to get through an entire song without completing botching it mid-way. And even the covers that I manage to get through, they are riddled with mistakes. Some people just don't have the genetics for coordination or they have some sort of cognitive disability/illness that affects it. For me, I've come to realize that it's because I've never been able to breathe through my nose because of chronic sinusitis that's probably affecting my brain and thus my coordination and muscle memory all those years. If you made it this far, thanks for reading my rant.
