I’ve been looking forward to hearing how everything was going with his and his wife’s research this is really exciting to hear! Congratulations on all of the success you’ve both achieved!

amazing and good to hear. i predict that in the next years we will have some very enthuasiast hobbyists that will be able to do that too - and companies like SciReef will most likely take our breaths away if they will select individual animals with crazy colors and keep selecting them further. "walt disney" and "homewreckers" won't be the holy grail anymore :)

I have always been interested in coral spawning. I try and keep a stable reef tank with some variations when compared to World's oceans. What prompts a coral to spawn, is it something that will envitably happen in a stable reef tank or is there an external prompt?

No it will not inevitably happen, you need the right conditions

There are some reports that corals suddently spawn in private tanks, but this could be very dangerous beause a lot of proteine get's into the system. In nature, corals spawn once a year and are guided by the moon. If you want more information, check the other videos on our channel.
