You could use some plumbers putty strips on the pedestal for leveling purposes because the dirt sinks even with the bricks you have it on. I use a patio stone and some wooden wedges you can place under the concrete for leveling when needed. The plumbers putty is not an adhesive and is pliable even with cold weather so it allows for leveling of gaps and stabilizes the water bowl. ALIEN TAPE DOUBLE SIDED in canadian tire and box hardware stores can be run flat side down around the pedastal base and will work very well. Removable and a little pricey. Again it does not glue it to the bowl...it just makes it more secure and also promotes leveling adjustments. Water bowl does not jiggle if a squirrel jumped on it etc. You can take top off as you would with no problem and it stays on base and I use it over and over from season to season. This is how I do it. I have a vintage large concrete bird bath so lifting and making adjustments are a pain ....the adjustments i have made in the beginning have not required any readjustments.

Our local Lowe’s store has various sizes of patio blocks ranging from a couple dollars up to around $4.50 depending on the size and what they are made of. Most are cement and decorated in various patterns and colors. One large size block was enough to place our bird bath pedestal on. To level it we simply used some small flat rocks under the block until it was just right.

Yes I too like the floating ones but I like to add rocks to sort of keep the fountain stationary. The reason Im commenting is although I have leveled out my bath on pavers the weight of the paver and bath will eventually become unlevel and I hate that . I hope yours stays level for you.

In trying to level out an area on soil is often after you get an area level is that the area will change. the natural weight of the bath and water will sink one end or the other and become unlevel. Possibly tamping an area down hard then maybe adding gravel then brick or stone might work. Hope yours doesnt sink after leveling.

I had to run outside and check for level! It is level side to side but front /back it has sunk slightly towards the house. I do have brick under it, and can add some gravel to level up. Thanks for the thought to check for level. Will post pictures on my Instagram rosebankfarm5.
