A sneaky trick I've seen is to search your squamate's backpacks before you extract. Basically right at extract, your team all drops bags and searches them, identifying anything they haven't seen before. This can give you a boost of EXP just before you get out, and if you do this multiple raids it really adds up early wipe. You just gotta make sure you're safe and don't have any sticky fingered friends lol

My squad and I do a lot of these, most recently we started searching every single body we came across, no matter if it was from our fight or not, that adds up VERY quickly. I had > 1300xp on Factory and didn't kill a scav or PMC, just from searching, looting and exploring.

Have clear objectives for each raid, preferably multiple ones. Choose raid pathing to arrive at certain areas (an object you need to get out with, buildings you need to discover, high PMC traffic areas, etc) based on whether you want to find or avoid PVP. Try to complete multiple objectives during the same raid.

I'm really slow at leveling - but I noticed a few things that reaaally boosted it for me: 1. Scav less - the XP you get while scaving goes towards your scav level, not pmc 2. Examine with your pmc, not scav - bring items in after scaving and examine in stash 3. Heal with meds, not cash service from therapist - this I only do after it stops being free - you get xp for healing

1:45, more to this point, if you leave a fight (even if you kill two out of a three man), a lot of times that team you were fighting will grab their teammates gear and reset, meaning that team is no longer on the map leaving you more free to go around and loot other areas and kill scavs for xp. It can be also be far more profitable leaving gear on the table to go loot keys and high value spawns than it is to grab potential gear as gear doesn't sell for much money and you can't put high end gear on the flea.

Everything in this video is so true. I am now in my third wipe, I found Jesse on my first wipe and learned a lot from his and others videos. I got to level 44 and had a 60 percent survival rate my first wipe. Last wipe I got to level 60, had all streamer items and was only 5 tasks away from kappa. This wipe I also see so much improvement. I don't think I'll go for kappa as I don't think it's worth it anymore. But I'm already level 33, I have fought teams as a solo and came out on top. You playing and dying yeah it sucks but you learn from it. I use to avoid all fights but now I am not scared to fight, yeah I die still but you can learn so much by just playing and watching videos. I think it'll surprise people how fast they can level up while questing and not dying. By not dying I just mean not running at gunshots, especially if you have a quest item or something. I shot to level 26 super quick while working and going to the gym. But then my pc broke :( I order a BEEFY new one tho :)

best way i found to level up really fast is farming goons on shoreline, throw a zarya sprint at them and spam 7mm buckshot in the face, ive killed all 3 before using this method getting like 20,000 xp witch got me from level 12 to 14. also killing pmc quests give alot of XP and you'll find alot of bad players on factory for ez kills, and occasionally you can blast tagilla in his face for more ez XP

Dying actually severely reduces the amount of exp gained in a raid, sometimes even to near zero. If you kill three PMCs and die to the forth, the exp you get is almost as if you killed nothing. So like the video says, prioritize survival. Sometimes you just have to walk away

it's literally just minus 300 and the extra 30% so 1000 xp earnt would become 1690 for surviving or 3000 xp would become 4200. significant loss for not surviving, but no where near as severe of a penalty as you are suggesting

Solid advice. I would add... use VoIP when you need to. Sometimes I'll be under-kitted, position will be exposed/known to other PMCs, and I'll just communicate what I'm trying to do. Maybe it's the tone of my voice, but it usually works out immediately and I've never had someone double cross me. If they don't respond then I know they're hostile and I just play accordingly. I have had better players team up and help me extract with quest items numerous times, this wipe alone. It's also fun when you end up helping someone lower level and less experienced too! Also tell your squad when they should book it. "Hey, I got ambushed and they have a better position, just get out of there." I appreciate when they say the same to me, knowing the odds aren't in our favor.

I stopped playing at level 18 last wipe, I couldn't be bothered to do the quests again and burned out grinding them, so when I started this wipe I decided I wouldn't take the optimal "perfect" quest path and just take ones that I wanted. I didn't want to go Customs at all so just focused Woods and improved my map knowledge and mid/long range shooting. I am also surviving far more on that map which is great. I now take in my best gear, and don't try to always run budget/bad equipment which has helped me win more fights and get out alive. With all the recent ammo/gun changes I'm finding far less mega chads and more even/interesting fights. I'm much happier now not stressing about leveling and just playing. I also have started to run more Factory just for the PVP and fast XP at times. If you can survive the first spawn rushes you can usually get a ton of scav kills (and maybe PMC kills) which even in death can be great XP and good way to get combat experience in.

I find it relaxing to go hunt scavs in the Woods. Open environment with poor visibility supports slow and steady pace. 5-men hurt trains are easy to spot and avoid, lots of AI (really spiced up my experience early wipe) and tasty loot. What else to you need to relax after work?

I would add (as part of questing): look ahead on your quest items! At minimum, look at the chart on the wiki that shows you what items are required found-in-raid for quests, and start hoarding them immediately. It usually seems like the game has a way of knowing what items you need for an active quest and then REFUSING to spawn any of them in your raids, so you'll be a happy boi if you show up to Therapist's "Get 400 smol-Shonkas" quest and you've already got them stored in your pantry ready to turn in rather than having to go four hundred times to Goshan on your scav to find the one shonk every three raids that's been left on a shelf. Honestly that quest isn't so bad but certain items just aren't that common, so having weeks to collect them makes it easier than trying to get them in a day or two once the quest is active.

as someone with a fulltime job i dont have all the time in the world to play and neither do my friends however we figured out how to get to flea market at least within a couple days. basically we just main factory with a player ona our team naked so hes tagged and cursed and all the scavs seek us out. we just drop gear for whoever is tagged and cursed and youll end up with at least 5-10 scav skills every raid, sometimes you dont survive but dont bring anything too spenny adn it will work out better in the end

It’s a good idea to have a raid plan before you go in. I for one, focus on quest items and try to hoard items for future quests as well. Last wipe I had hoarded some items beforehand and completed 6 quests at the same time, instead of grinding them one by one. I also try to avoid PvP early wipe and focus on leveling, as if you lose a gear set early, it’s hard to get gear again with locked traders!

As a noob with only 80 hrs experience - I have been grinding and the gear fear has been intense. BUT I have finally started earning better loot and selling off all the scav gear I was using. I now have an EOD account and have like 5 full kits with 100 Dur weapons :D All my armors are level 3+ so I'm very stoked at how much I'm enjoying the game since joining your discord ^_^ SO much more fun to play with other guys instead of dying solo time after time!!

the best advice i can give for gear fear as someone who is finally starting to get over it is to just keep in mind how easy it is to make money in this game. surviving can be difficult at times but say you spent 100k on a cheap kit. i know it seems like a lot when you just start but if you think about it realistically, just a handful of items can make you back most of if not all your $ spent on the kit in one raid. on top of this, almost everythign has value once you get the flea unlocked. items that sell for 3k to therapist can go for 15-20k on market

I can't even count how many times I died searching cabinets, scavs,.. where it's just a matter of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Honestly, I'm more confident in PvP in *early* wipe rather than late wipe... since a combination of being somewhat comfortable with scav guns, more players overall (including newer/less experienced players rather than only seemingly level 40 chads everywhere), and the fact armor actually means something saves my ass more than not. This most recent wipe I think it was I had a kit which survived like... over 5 raids, including PvP in multiple of them, I stopped using it because it was too bulky for the map so it's just sitting in the stash reminding me of the good old days at this point.

Last wipe i was really focused on maxing not only my XP but also skills. So when i was doing rat/stash runs & didnt expect to get hurt, id instead spend the first 5 mins of a raid id jump of a small rock to blackout my legs(+perhaps break) and/or run into barbed wire just to make sure i get the healing xp & level healing skills (jumping too far will kill you instread this does take some pratice). Also you get xp for searching & grabbing things so might as well grab everything . Not that you need to take everything with you from a stash or take someone elses gear, but quickly grabbing it & putting it back/discard takes seconds. And all that little xp adds up. This at some cost for meds of cause. Oh & knowing when to do it is importent. Dont want to run into a open field hotspot just to get a little xp from looting a body.

I just started EFT 2 weeks ago and i have a survival rate of around 20% xD I loose most PvP fight. But the game is still extremly fun. But i just learned that ammo is hery important. I thought they just have small befefits but damn was i wrong. I first started horting my best gear because of gearfear but when i used my best stuff, i actually survived more and longer. I come from a similar game: Hunt showdown and Hunt is like the 'Skyrim' of extraction shooter while Tarkov is the Dark Souls.

Is it possible to find "dead lobbies" this wipe? Since they changed it so you can pick region every lobby is stacked with full pmc even at night raids

for me its all about goals. I have 3 goals each wipe long short and on raid. My long goal is kappa the short ones are quests and on raid is an item of something like that, this helps me keep my focus

Just got a daily for killing 15 scavs with the toz. Rewards 3000 xp. And can't reroll unless I want to lose trader rep

Leveling pretty much stopped for me after 40.... I am 42 now and need get double my current experience to get to level 55. DOUBLE it. I have about 3 million experience right now and need to get to 6.5 million to reach level 55. I don't know how this is even possible to accomplish now that I am done with most of the quests..

When I'm in a squad we drop our guns for eachother to pickup, the more mods the better. I picked up a dudes gun that was worth 300 xp once.

Im not having problem to lvl up but I went 2 times to shoreline, the first time i kill 3 sksvs and loot some shot. About 2k exp, i went again and i kill a skav and a guy lvl 39 (being 24) 2k of exp 😅 i dont get ir... I survive and kill skavs and a guy and same low exp....

You’re talking about playing a wipe as if this has become the standard process of playing EFT? I know they do wipe often enough being in development but would hope this is eventually going to stop happening? I don’t get a heap of time to play and get pretty tired of starting from the start all the time, surely at some point they can just let players have the option to wipe themselves if they want the challenge again after completing everything because they can play EFT for 18hrs a day..great video btw!
