The cost of transit in Toronto is not as high as stated ; there are several other innacuracies - e.g that French is important in a job search in Toronto but that's not true and you rarely hear French spoken . unlike , say , Chinese .
@adamfrank82705 жыл бұрын
Umm I got my first job in Toronto after many weeks of searching because I could write correctly in French and translate between the two. Every big company in Canada needs at least some francophone employees if only for the web site and the customer service and since most head offices are in Toronto the girl is right about French but the Anglophone mentality for the last few hundred years has always been to try to pretend French doesn't exist and hopefully it will just go away but sorry it won't my friend. People do speak many other languages including Chinese and that's great but everyone has to learn either English or French and it's definitely better to know both. I would be out of a job personally if I didn't and I was born in Toronto.
@officialdiva87364 жыл бұрын
@@adamfrank8270 I like and hate your comment. Youre both wrong. What she said was you will French if you lived in Ottawa if you planning on being employed at a government job. Its ignorant to say you cant get a job in Toronto or wouldnt have one if u didnt speak French. Thats such bullshiit. You just got a Job no one else could get or wanted because u spoke French. U sound lazy and got a job where your privilege ass gets paid to do NOTHING
@jandron944 жыл бұрын
@@adamfrank8270 Yeah French is a 'great' culture and it's the French who created Canada in the first place. Sadly, If you listen to Sheeba learning French seems to her not like an opportunity but an out-of-the-blue obstacle to be by-passed. She doesn't seem telling out her real feelings on the question.
@carlandre86104 жыл бұрын
Ottawa has great opportunities for outdoor activities like Nordic skiing. Skating cycling. Fishing. Toronto has better transit system. There is a lot of festivals in Ottawa but night life is not so exciting. But you can party across the river in Gatineau.

I would love to live in Montreal, the only problem is you have to learn to speak French in order to get a job. Also, I wouldn't be able to help my son with his school work as he would have to go to a French school. When I was visiting there I learned that in order for a child to go to an English school, the parents have to speak French. I love that they protect the French culture, I just wish it was a little easier to move there. It's such a beautiful part of our country, I wish it was just a little bit easier to make a life there.

Its because Ottawa isn't really a city, but people want to think it is. Its really just a small downtown surrounded by incorporated suburbs (Kanata, "Farhaven aka Barrhaven", "Borreleans" aka Orleans") So Ottawa is really just a suburb life and that has an effect on devlopment and what kind of people want to live here. Ottawa is really just meant for someone that wants a stable job (neither particular rich or poor) and raze a family. If your the ambitions type that can handle risks head to Toronto. But if your more the cautions reserved type Ottawa might be better for you. The only problem is Ottawa is getting worse and there is a perception it can't happen here in Ottawa mentality. Some people are waking up to it others still haven't.

They chat in elevators stores etc or even on the street but if you ask them to go out for a drink or coffee they look terrified like you just took out a knife. I have friends all over the world and in Toronto I can make at least one new good friend per month but I have been in Ottawa now two and a half years and I have zero friends. Hi! Well, you said you studied Human Rights in College, and I wanted to ask if you think it's possible for a foreign lawyer to get a job in Canada, because of all the specialities of law in each country. I just graduated from law school in Brazil, and I was wandering if I could get a job in this area in Canada, I loved studying Human Rights as well, in College. Thanks, Love your videos.

When it comes to disciplines like law and medicine; it can be very tough to transfer over as a professional as a lot of people are often required to go back to university. your best bet would be to contact a school in Canada and they can evaluate your transcripts.
