Great video and a wealth of information! You should make a video telling us how in the world you find such great models. 🤩

Thanks Marcelino. Most of my models are previous clients that have paid for a boudoir shoot. I sometimes ask them if they are interested in modelling for my projects and YT videos. All of my models get paid for their time.

@@newcastlephotographycollege Thanks, that makes sense and a very nice way to get good models.

These are very nice photos. From your videos I got the inspiraton to try light painting myself. One lesson I learnd (and which could be taught): In order to get a sharp picure of the model, the light (torch) must hit the model only once, never twice or multiple times. I know it is pretty evident, but my first attemps were all blurry. No model can be still for seveal seconds.

That's great Andreas. Yes, I prefer to do a slow sweep of the light rather than a shaky pattern for just that reason. Keep improving.

I missed something. Youre not really teaching the balance between ambient and flash nor are you trying different setting for a different outcome. Camera settings? HSS?
@andreasstolten9179Ай бұрын
Yes, this might be a more inspirational video than a tutorial. However Warraen explains how to control the ambient by an example at 3:10min. (shutter speed one stop slower in order to make the dark buildings in the background brigher). I am not really interessed the actual camera setting since by my equipment and my location may differ. Probably you will learn more by understanding the concepts that getting shutter speed and aperture settings. And why on earth should you be using HSS in situations like these??? I think it is pretty evident that all shots are using regular sync.

Thanks for your comment Dennis. Andreas is correct. HSS would not be any use here. I have never needed HSS. But maybe one day.

How are you framing these shots when you just drop the camera down ?
@newcastlephotographycollege26 күн бұрын
Years of experience. I don't always get the framing right but most are ok and I just crop and straighten a little in post. My legs aren't great so I can't get down low. I have artriculated screen that I could frame in live view but it has a 1/4 second delay so I can't time the shot properly. I generally focus from eye level and then drop the camera vertically so the focus is still fine.
