Thanks SO much for this, I’m a longtime AFOL but I’ve never ventured into lighting any of my MOCs. For a long time I’ve thought the Tower Bridge set would look just so much cooler if it was lit up - and I could even pop a smart plug onto a USB and control it via Alexa. But when the kit arrived I was feeling a little at sea so your vid has been super super helpful 👌🏽

Thanks for the well done video. I just bought my light kit from these guys, for the Jazz Quartet set. I got the USB converter version. My plan is to plug it into Alexa so I can turn the kit on easily.

In that last example, couldn't you just thread the wire through the same hole the yellow stud is on?
@thefub1013 жыл бұрын
You can run wire down the hole that you put the stud on and not see wires at all

That's what I thought too. Seems the most logical option. :)

Great video!!!! The only thing I’m having trouble with is the plugs into the board as they’re so small, I wonder if there’s a solution? And if I want to shorten them can i cut them and solder them to the power source? Instead the board

Thank you, extremely helpful. Although I am not into MOCs building, but I want to improve my kid's sets, and looks like this what will help. The pricing on the site bit higher than I expected, but the solutions are more "flexible" than to buy already pre-made kits from other parties. Is it possible to get small power-bank as a power source (instead of batteries box) and some switch? (i want to do lightning for 60197 train without having single wire running through all cars of the train)

Would it be possible to use a Dremmel to "drill" out the top of a Lego in the middle of the stud and run the light through that way?
