Here's the thing with meditation. You'll never be able to find complete silence in your head. And that's okay! It's not about blanking out. It's taking a thought, examining it, and deciding to either keep it, or move on to the next. Even if it's random gibberish. Maybe you needed a laugh that day? Respond to yourself as much as your surroundings. You can't be mindful if your mind is empty, but you also get a say in what you fill it with. This has been your random internet PSA. Unclench your jaw, do a couple stretches, deep breaths, stay hydrated, and take care of yourself!

Sydney is still with the channel, The Others are doing their own thing. I never miss folks when everyone is happy staying in the boat or off to sea. What I think is fantastic supporting the channel for 7 years, 14 or so members, and being in groups in my past, I check up on folks time to time. Yo, as a daily meditator for the past 15 years..... Do NOT listen to the pop psychology crap about meditation, what meditation can do, and how you should meditate. Don't do it to "feel better" cause you won't... At first.... Don't do it to get your mind to shut up because it won't... At first.. do it because you are being called to it for bigger reasons or don't do it at all because about 75% of meditation is just doing heavy therapy and self observation on yourself without a counselor or a box of tissues or teddy bear or any of that. Do feel bad that you couldn't do it because it is NOT for everyone.
