Thank you for this video! I've always wanted to learn how to line my lips corrrectly and I didn't know that you have to create a blank canvas for it to show. That could explain why it's hard for my lip liner to come through due to it being a darker color on my top lip. Once again thank you!

THANK YOU!!! It feels like I've been searching high and low to find someone to clearly explain this process (with the lip liner and the foundation) and why it's important to do it this way. I see your point, and it makes sense to me now; because I have the same situation with my lips, and I find that when I don't line above the lip, it looks like I should be going up just a little further. But, I just wasn't completely sure. NOW I GET IT!!!

OMG! I LOVE your lips! They are so full and beautiful! I have very small lips so it's really hard for me to define them without it looking odd. If I over line my lips I literally have very little space to work with for lipstick. I feel like when line above the natural line it looks like I ate my lipstick! Lol. I can never get it to look as perfect as yours! I often give up and skip the liner. Or maybe it's all in my head who knows . I will try your technique and see how it goes. Thanks for sharing!

She'Myia Malone fins a dark color close (ish) to your skin color (dark colors recede) and light and shiny come out and show up more. What you’d do is put the dark color over most of your lips and leave a small bit in the middle for your light color

I didn't know there were pencil lip liners. I use a mechanical one and I really like it. I line my lips in a colour similar to my lip colour (Jordana Cosmetics in Rose Crush) but there's a lot of product in there. It's really inexpensive.
