Can you show how to save pp without any error message plopping up about linked files? What about if you want to save pp and send it to your friend. It will not go to open pp if the excel chart is on your compjuter.

Hi Arun, I'm afraid not. It allows you to save charts and images and paste them but not, so far as I know, to create the link. The link here hopefully helps as well - support.google.com/docs/answer/63834?hl=en

Wonderful help! Yeah that "slight glitch" that requires manual "update link" is a bit of a turd in the punch bowl. I saw how VB can be used in a way to automatically perform the "update link" function in regular intervals; it does complicate things a bit in order to pull it off however I figured it is worth noting here, it does exist. There is also a "DATAPOINT" add-in as well from a third party which could be considered, not much help though in a corporate world where administrative privileges may prevent installing add-ins.
