This product worked perfect. We needed it since we were out a lot, but needed a way to turn the lights on or off when we weren’t home. Easy install. Easy app. We liked them so much, we bought a few for my parents and installed it for them.

I agree, it is really easy to use, and works great remotely from anywhere as long as you have internet access on you phone. Thanks for your feedback

This smart Power Strip is quite innovative. What most people don't realize is that it runs on the tuya platform. This means if you already have some smart light or plugs that use tuya you don't need the extra gosund app just use the tuya and Alexa will immediately pickup the device. 3 separate smart plugs and 3 USB ports that are on one single circuit. I find this ideal for a couple of USB devices that stay plugged in 24/7 so I tell Alexa to turn the USB port on just 2 hours daily you keep the device fully charged and not over charger.

Indeed it is an amazing innovative device, I am suing 3 of these at my house.

I may be wrong but I don't see energy monitoring options on the Gosund Power Strip. But I'm using the Tuya app not the Gosund app. I've got several Tuya smart plugs and they have monitoring on the Tuya app. Can you clarify this? Monitoring would be nice but not a fresh breaker. Thanks
@TECHNOLOGYTIPS1013 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right, I didn't see that either, they could have easily added a current meter to monitor the efficiency of the load plugged in to it.

Great video. Can you operate groups with Alexa? The gosund app allows you to create groups of switches so being able to control them with Alexa would be fantastic.
@TECHNOLOGYTIPS1013 жыл бұрын
The amazon Alexa app allows you to create groups regardless if the hardware manufacture does that. For example you can program Alexa that when you say " Alexa Good Night" it will turn off all the desired devices even if they are made by different manufacturers. You can also program it to saying " Alexa Turn Off Group 5" and you can add anything you like on Group 5.

Are the USB ports programmable (timer/auto on off ect) like the receptacles?
@TECHNOLOGYTIPS1013 жыл бұрын
The USB ports are continuously powered once the unit is plugged in. Thy are not individually controllable or programmable.

Can you control the USB ports on and off with voice through alexa as well?
@TECHNOLOGYTIPS1013 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately all the USB Ports stay ON once you turn on the power strip. Even when you turn all the outlets OFF with the help of Alexa the USB ports will have power.

Can u have 2 of these strips and be able to set them up individually?
@TECHNOLOGYTIPS1013 жыл бұрын
Yes I have 3 in my house, and each one controls 3 items which is a total 9 items being controlled. Make sure to choose different names for each outlet. For example on the first plug call it FAN/HEATER/LIGHT, on the second one call it FAN2/TOASTER/COFFEE MACHINE and so on.

Hello, do you recommend connecting a TV to that device?
@TECHNOLOGYTIPS1013 жыл бұрын
Hi, unfortunately you can't connect it to a TV because they don't turn on by plugging them to the wall, you still need to use the remote control. When you plug in a TV to the wall it only goes to Standby mode. Also TVs are supposed to be connected to power at all times so they can keep the time and date correctly.

@TECHNOLOGYTIPS1013 жыл бұрын
Most 5GHZ routers also have 2.4GHz, so I think your routers 2.4GHZ Channel is turned off. You need to go to the Admin Page of your router and turn it ON. Usually the Admin page is accessed by typing this in your browser address bar 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
