You describe this video as kind of new short form. While there are some benefits of the short form in and of itself, I think you managed brilliantly to create dense, rich yet easy to understand teaching material. And it is also very good in giving the idea about practical implementation of the concept you described. I immediately made some improvements to my Notion setup inspired by this tutorial. Thank you! Good job! P.S. I hope you’ll go on creating longer videos when appropriate, as well :)

The animations and title cards look awesome!! Great job on the new designs. They look like your classic style but with a little more design -- I love it!

Oh wow! This was great! I have enjoyed your videos for over a year now, I share them with anyone who will listen and you’ve managed to 10x my appreciation with this (even more) straightforward tutorial. I keep dreaming up new scenarios to use this.

I appreciated the shortness - I have a tendency to get confused early on in a video and then just give up if it's long so it definitely worked better for me.

Thanks for your video! It helped me create a workout logging system with Notion databases, where I can keep track of when I went to the gym, what excercises I did and how much weight I used. I ended up using 3 databases, one for tracking my sessions, one to track the exercises per session and a last to track the sets per excercise. I linked these together and created a nice overview and filter option ("when did i last do squats?") using the rollup features. Super nice project for a lazy Saturday rest-day afternoon!

I love the creative solutions approach. The biggest problem we keep having in notion though is that we need to eliminate as many chances for human error as possible, and that need to uncheck Focus at the end will inevitably blow it for people in the company sooner or later. Does Notion yet have custom per-property security that can be set as a function? For example, based on per-user and their security level as set on a per property basis, whether pulled from another database, or set in Notion security.

That was great, but I'm curious about one thing. You have a rollup from Company to Jobs using the Focus property of Jobs. But a company can have multiple jobs. If there's a focused job, you want to select the job's company, but if there are also jobs from this company that are no longer in focus, what value will you be returning?

can you help me with a problem? understand the below scene. there are 2 pages in Notion named "Healthcare", "Workout" and "Home". in the Healthcare page, there is a calendar database that shows a weekly routine of face masks, hair masks, etc. with various healthcare routines in that week. in the Workout page, there is a calendar view database that shows a weekly routine for workouts like leg day, chest day, etc. with various workout routines in that week. now, in the home page, I need a calendar view that shows the combined weekly routine from the above-mentioned pages "Healthcare" and "Workout" so that I don't have to move from one page to another page to check that particular week's tasks. how can I achieve this also if this could be colour-specific like maybe healthcare with blue and workout with green that would be really helpful.

@Red Gregory Hi! Do you have any idea how to make stopwatch property in notion ?
@Monika-Jenkins Жыл бұрын
This is super helpful, you are amazing! As I'm doing this while building a meal planning tool, I combined my recipes database with another database that had a data, day, week properties, and while that worked, I cannot figure out how to copy a recipe from one row to another. Each Recipe is a page created via database template. and while I can copy an entire row and that will copy the recipe field successfully (that will properly open up that page), I cannot copy the individual cell, the recipe itself. Any ideas? I looked everywhere with no luck.

Hi Red. I was wondering if you might be able to help me since you are so familiar with notion. I use paperform to create forms and import into notion. I have a form that lists all of an agencies contacts, their title, email and phone numbers. I want to import this into notion, but I can't figure out how to pull all the contacts on one form into one database in notion. Do you have any suggestions?
@ChibiKeruchan Жыл бұрын
is there a way to filter the relation property to only show items that "checked" on their own databases??

Why I have no option to change the database source like you did in step 4?

Great video as always. One unrelated question. Does $text$ and $$text$$ works as katex formula specifiers in Notion? I think they should. In Obsidian they do work.

Yes $$text$$ works for katex in Notion
