Initiation by a Guru in the Holy Order of Sannyas lineage. For example, Sri Swami Sivananda was the Guru of Sri Swami Satchidananda and initiated him into the monastic order. We continue this lineage today and there are currently swamis initiated by Swami Satchidananda who serve around the world.
