How to live your Dream Luxury Motorcoach Lifestyle for less $ | MUCH LESS!!

RV's are expensive and luxury diesel motorcoaches sit at the top of the expensive list. I used to think that living a dream luxury motorcoach lifestyle required spending at least $500,000 on a brand new motorcoach. After all, is it really luxury living in a used motorcoach?
Through research, I discovered I was wrong. I began finding pristine examples of some very fine used diesel pusher motor coaches for a fraction of the price of new.
In this video, I interview Terry Smith of Kenai Coach, located in Junction City Oregon. Terry finds the best examples of used diesel pusher motor coaches, then goes through them bumper to bumper and preps them for their new owner and new adventures. Hey! thank you for introducing me to Terry and producing this video. Two years ago (2017), I was looking for our first coach and knew it was going to be a Beaver. So I basically formulated and followed all these tips you covered here on Aug 29, 2019. I've heard a lot of horror stories, One guy worked his way up to a Class A from a van, step by step and within a year had owned and sold 7 different RVs, and I don't think he is fully satisfied. But back to what you have covered here. This is GOLDEN information for a person just starting into their first purchase of an RV. I have to say; that I FEEL EXTREMELY CONFIDENT that my choices (and my intended usage of, and path going forward), has been the best educated choices in our first purchase. I often think of all the major mistakes that I had avoided with our first motorhome purchase. So many common mistakes made by so many of those new to RVing. Our 19 year old, 2000 Beaver Patriot Thunder, Princeton, Ketchum Creek was in such great condition, it was featured on an instagram post from the FMCA just last month. And for the last couple of years, has been very close to trouble free without major mechanical or electrical or plumbing or heating or cooling issues. The hardest repair I had to do myself was to replace the two electric heating elements in the refrigerator. And anyone who has done that job knows it's not a very hard job to do. Yes there are going to be issues to resolve, you are going to have to face repairs big and small when owning an RV. But the key to not having a major headache just after purchase is to know EXACTLY what your looking at. Know the nuances of each of the on board systems. Know that you have to have the coach inspected by your own NRVIA inspector. Know to have the fluid samples taken before purchase and understand the results and what they mean. You must understand how to spot a lemon before you purchase and not get emotional about that specific purchase moment and know when to walk away. You will have other chances to purchase ahead of you. And then: you have to install the safety Fire Suppression systems behind that absorption refrigerator and in and around the engine compartment! Because you have to know that 30% of RVs showing up at junkyards are from fires. Fires that could be halted before catastrophic damage occurs. And we have got to keep these fine motor home examples this video has been discussing in great shape not only for yourself, but the people who will own it after you. They are a timeless representation of the pinnacle of motorhome manufacturing.

Terry seems like a solid guy with integrity and he seems to enjoy getting people on the road with a quality unit that has been well looked over and serviced to be turn-key and go condition. His prices are reasonable for what you get and he seems very trustworthy. I could be wrong but I never have met the man in person. He has a good reputation and I have a good gut feeling about him if everything checks out I would not hesitate to purchase one of his beautiful coaches. Plus he reminds me a little of Bill Murray's older brother Brian Dole Murray.

Last year we purchased an 06 Wanderlodge that had extensive updates and maintenance from an individual for 15 cents on the dollar what it costs new in 06. Lots of value out there if you just look. SOOO TRUE, coaches after 2010 are junk and the RV industry as a whole has hit the crapper unless your willing to fork out 500k + these poor "newbe" RVers are spending 100k+ on NEW junk when they could have a high quality, high end coach at the same or lessor cost that will still OUTLAST their 'new" coach.
