Is there a way to clean the printhead?

Great question! To clean the printhead, you can either use a thermal printer cleaning card or isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber rag. We have a video that shows this process with a very similar printer to the iDPRT SP420: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpisaouDjK5siq8 Please let us know if this helps!

I've calibrated the printer but I cannot get my labels to format to the size. I can't even adjust the default paper size down to 4x6. What am I missing?

Hi there! What size are you trying to format your labels to? Most of the time if calibration doesn't work, then deleting and redownloading the printer driver fixes the issue. Please let us know!

@@SmithCoronaLabels I figured it out, and it wasn't the printer. It was the type of label that I asked for eBay to generate. I forgot to change that to 4x6. *blush* The printer works just fine now.

Can I print circle stickers with this machine

Hello! You should be able to print on circle labels just fine with the iDPRT SP420, but you will need to make sure that the label material is direct thermal since this is a direct thermal printer. Direct thermal labels are more for temporary use though because the print can fade over time, so if you're looking to make long lasting product / business stickers, we wouldn't recommend printing those on direct thermal labels.

Mine is spitting too much out. When I tear it off I tear off part of the next label. Is it because of the test labels it came with?

Hello! It shouldn't be because of the test labels, it sounds like your printer isn't calibrating your label properly. Have you tried shutting off your printer and completely unloading and then reloading your labels? You also could try deleting and then redownloading the printer driver, sometimes doing this fixes printer issues. Please let us know if either of these work!

@SmithCoronaLabels I will try it! It would be awesome to see a video on how it all looks on Windows 11. The paperwork I received to set up the printer does not look the same on my computer screen!

Unfortunately we don't have Windows 11, we're sorry! We did look around to see if someone else made a video using Windows 11, but most videos we saw were using Windows 10. If you have any questions though, please comment back and we'll do our best to answer them. Sorry again!

Shoot, we're sorry the 2"x4" labels are giving you issues! What exactly is your printer doing? Also, when you switched from 4"x6" to 2"x4", did you recalibrate your printer and also change the label size settings in your computer?

How do you adjust the orientation.... portrait and horizontal. There is no setting.

Hi there! To adjust the orientation your label is printing, go to the "Devices and Printers" folder on your computer. Once you see your printer, right click and select "Printing Preferences". From there, you will be able to rotate your label design so it is prints either portrait or horizontal. Let us know if this helps!

How do I replace the ink cartridge?

Hi there! The iDPRT SP420 actually doesn't have ink cartridges or ribbons. It is a direct thermal printer, so the labels themselves have ink within them. Are you maybe using a different printer?
